Ed Thigpen’s road to legend status began between 1959 and 1965 while he was the drummer for the seminal Oscar Peterson Trio, and his reputation was further bolstered through collaborations with Bud Powell, Ella Fitzgerald, Lennie Tristano, and Dinah Washington. Ever on the forefront of music, his current Scantet project brings together a group of innovative and gifted young Scandinavian artists.
