Parker/Guy/Lytton/Fernandez
Britain’s Evan Parker has developed his own unique style of improvisation on both soprano and tenor saxophone. Through his solo works and performances with groups like the Globe Unity and London Jazz Composers’ Orchestra, he has established himself as a leading figure on the international improvised music scene. His longtime trio includes LJCO comrades Barry Guy bass and Paul Lytton drums. This magnificent trio has recently joined forces with the important Spanish improvising pianist Agusti Fernández, and they have just released a quartet CD, Topos (Maya).
