Southwick

Not just another average white cover band, Southwick is a 9 piece top 40 funk and soul tribute band. They are the freshest event and party band on Vancouver Island and play funk and R&B hits from the 70s to today. Their dance floor friendly repertoire tributes artists such as James Brown, Stevie Wonder, Sharon Jones, Jamiroquai, Earth Wind and Fire, George Clinton, and more. Members of this band, past and present, are active musicians in the Vancouver and Vancouver Island area, and either currently play or have previously played with bands such as Femme Fatal, Dope Soda, Bananafish Dance Orchestra, Jellycat, Martone, DNA 6, Splitting Adam, Jordan Carrier and the Soviets, the NMA Big Band and even the Vancouver Island Symphony Orchestra.
Prepare to have your dance floor worked over. It's no doubt that once you hear this band in action you will understand, this band brings it in its many colours. From the pure soul of the bass and drum driven tracks like House Party by Fred Wesley to the high energy disco funk of Jamiroquai's Little L, and back to the horns jamming on the Average White Band's track Pick Up The Pieces, this band tears it up.
