Event Description
The Michael Wood Band is a group of local young musicians with a polished performance and a fresh rock sound. They have recently returned from a successful tour including dates at the Calgary Stampede where their engaging shows wowed the crowds. Their latest video “End of the World” has had over 35 000 views in less than 1 month. They are receiving radio play nationwide, and the original song ”I Think I’ll Just Go To Bed” has won them the new artist of the month on CKXS 99.1 FM. In addition to original music from their new CD "Occupy This" they do popular cover songs by a wide range of artists including Tom Petty, Neil Young, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Hendrix, Michael Jackson, to name a few.
