Mose Allison

This year is the 56th anniversary of Mose Allison’s professional career. Now 80 and at the top of his game, the Tupelo, Mississippi-born, singer/pianist/songwriter has been playing six nights a week since his first gigs in the summer of 1950! To say that Mose Allison is an American legend would be redundant. He is one of the most unique voices in jazz. His bluesy approach to bebop piano playing and his singular vocal style are inextricably linked with his laconic, insightful songs.
