Originally an Americana track, "Freight Train" marked my return to writing on piano after many years. A UK friend re-envisioned it. Now a Country Pop song, it speaks to truth, reconciliation and forgiveness, and applies to an intimate relationship as well as a sociopolitical human rights context. We need to be honest with ourselves and each other, to listen, talk, love, accept, respect, move forward together.
