I have strong rudimental chops through highland drumming and have a Jazz Diploma from St.FX. My emphasis is groove and my drum heroes are Omar Hakim, Steve Gadd, Bill Bruford, Mitch Mitchell, and Stewart Copeland.
I currently play with The Tom Morrissey Band
(East Coast beer drinkin' music meets west coast rock). My other pro experience includes a calypso/reggae band with two guys from the Caribbean, an eighties techno-pop band (in the 80's), gospel choirs, as well as studio work and odd gigs in a variety of styles.
My goal is to pick up some paying gigs in Victoria (possibly as a sub).
I'm also interested in sitting in on some jazz jams or situations with good players.
