Event Description

Saturday, January 25 from 2-4pm artists Cole Pauls and Whess Harman come to Open Space to speak about comics, zines, and independent publishing as Indigenous artists.

This conversation is presented alongside the gallery exhibition When Raven Became Spider, which brings together work from six artists who fuse Indigenous art-making and storytelling practices with superhero motifs. The gallery show runs Jan 10-Feb 8, Tues-Sat, 12-5pm.

There will be snacks and water available, as well as copies of Cole Pauls's comic Dakwäkãda Warriors, and other Indigenous comics, for sale! Admission is free/by donation.
