Event Description

Victoria composers Alex Jang and Daniel Brandes will be performing Antoine Beuger's 2013 work "un lieu pour être deux (2)". This piece, composed for two composers, invites both the performers and the audience into the deeply intimate experience of bearing witness to the creative process. During the piece, the composers are invited to compose a melody—alternating one tone/sound/chord/word at a time—and then into a series of explorations of this melody on their instruments (both alone, and together).

This should prove to be a moving and singular listening experience.
