| Mordock.the.Benzite User Info... | I find it kinda wierd that a post saying that frog eyes, chet, the immaculate machine were shitty bands (or something like that) was deleted, yet someone like fuckface has slagged tonnes of bands and his posts remain. I've noticed that in the last month or so there has actually been many posts that have been deleted (including posts by people making fun of their own friends-in an inside joke sort of manner, or friends making fun of their own bands). There seems to be a lack of consistency in the actions of the moderators of this board, and I was just wondering what the deal was with that. My personal (and inconsequential)opinion is that no post should ever be deleted unless it is ACTUALLY harmful to somebody on the board (and hurt egos don't count). | Moderator User Info... | In the case of the Seeking Musicians forum the idea is to keep it on topic. It is open to all genre of music, and is considered somewhat neutral. In other words, if your only purpose is to go there and insult the tastes of people searching for musicians, your post will be deleted. In the case of other deletions, sometimes on this board it is not only hard to differentiate between humor and offensive behaviour, but the board mods are busy people who cant read everything all the time. - Tue, 30 Dec 2003 11:20pm | ||

| Moderator User Info... | Everyone is entitled to their opinion. But the Seeking Musicians forum is a tool which bands and musicians of all genre's should feel comfortable in using, without being anonymously insulted by fans of different forms of music. That particular forum is moderated seperately from the rest of the forums just for that reason. A similar approach is used in the Gear Buy And Sell forum. - Wed, 31 Dec 2003 1:22pm | ||

| Moderator User Info... | It is possible that some posts have gone missing accidently. But there are also multiple moderators on the board now so it is hard to say. | Livevic Scott User Info... | Sometimes posts will get moved to the quarintine board as well so if ya don't see something its possibly there as well. As far as consistancy goes its pretty much up to the personal opinion of the moderators. So as a rule of thumb if your saying something asinine its possible it will get deleted, we all realize you all know each other for the most part which is why a good majority of these asinine comments stay, but sometimes an inside joke might get delteted but considering its an inside joke on a public board, deal with it. I don't think anyone can say that any real informative or thought provoking discussion has been deleted ever even when the topics got risque. - Fri, 2 Jan 2004 12:52am | ||

The only thing that pisses me of is when some jackass posts a rental classified in every category and gets away with it. Moderators should delete those ones, not ones that slag bands. Everyone should be able to have a voice. In terms of the seeking shows category....what a joke.
