yeah so the show fucking kicked ass.

Acting Ensign opened up with some nice sludgy star trek metal. really good shit. and it was pretty funny when they passed out joints to people in the audience.

Bury Whats Dead was as good as usual.

Immaculate Infection's first show was fucking mayhem. The "pit", if you could call it one went "nuts". Speaking of "nuts"...

i got punched in the nuts when Repulverizer played. it really hurt. whoever did that is an asshole. But their set ruled. Except for when those idiots kept falling into the bands stuff, and interrupted some songs. fuck.

I'm lazy. I didnt want to type alot. It was a great time. the venue is the best. killer sound quality. - Sat, 20 Dec 2003 11:41pm

Yeah thanks to everyone who came out and say all of us play. REPULVERIZER fucking ruled and I was glad I got to hear the curmudegeon hyperblast live and Cruiser's vocals were the fuckin shit! It was great to watch everyone fall all over themselves while we we're playing, and Jordan's crowd pleasing "Mr. Goodbody" brick solo while Spenxor and I flipped out was pure fucking dancehall (I mean metal...METAL!!!!). I think Bury What's Dead could have used 3 or 4 more sloppy poo breaks but they rocked at an 87% efficency rate anyways. Hope to do it again after the New Year. - Sun, 21 Dec 2003 11:53am

Urgh...I had to leave early to hand in my labs this morning so I missed Repulverizer but I've seen them before and they're a gong show so I'm sure it was worth it...I saw 'Bury what's dead' with Iskra at the little fernwood a couple weeks ago and although I'm not much for punk I had to say, they had a crunchy/punchy feel to it and it had my head banging and groovin' at the front for pretty much most of their set...good shit. the Star Trek sludge stuff wasn't my deal, but then again it's stoner rock and I'm not a stoner anymore so I may have been able to get into it in the past...good at what they do, though, anyone into that sort of thing probably would've liked it.
Immaculate Infection was great. Spencer pulled things off nicely since I last saw him in Crepitus; I was impressed. When Jordan pulled the brick out and played his guitar with it and moshed at the same time I just right out lost it, hilarious shit. Good stage interaction by all members (moshing, haha.) This town needed that for sure...fuck, and for 3 bux!! Gotta love it.
Fuck, I just couldn't believe how many different members were in each band, it's good to see people developing an eclectic approach within the all-ages scene... - Sun, 21 Dec 2003 3:41pm

wow.. what a fun show. immaculate infection destroyed.. nice mix of brutal death and silly grind, some pretty technical guitar and drum riffage that uped my stokeage. love the grind set and crowd interaction. vocals sounded really solid esspecially during some of the grind songs, right on with the quick stops and starts. too bad these guys won't continue writing and performing. what can i say.. repulverizer blew my mind.. mixing deathmetal with grindcore and sludge with the triple vocal assult fucking ruled. i love watching doug play.. such creative drum patterns. this is one band that does not get enough credit (or mabye they do) they put on a great live show everytime. love the bass tone... big thanks to repulverizer for coming over to play our basement for free. thanks to those people who donated some money toward the pa we had to rent. we didn't really get on actually running a door so it was pretty much up to people if they wanted to pay.. and some did. so thanks. - Sun, 21 Dec 2003 3:56pm

the show was alot of fun. acting ensign were way better than i was expecting, and while not entirely my thing, were definately entertaining. bury whats dead ...well we certainly didnt feel like we played well at all, apart from not having a good sound balance, none of us were playing together...which, on the bright side..allowed us to bring out the "sloppy poo" in copious amounts! immaculate infection were incredible, spence and co. really put on a hell of a show. we need these dudes to play a few more times before february. next up..Repulverizer. i love watching these guys play! im not a real fan of death grind shit...but you know? every time i see these guys..I love it! quite possible the three nicest people in bands in victoria too..they were awesome, and played for nothing...and really made the show for me. thanks to all the people that came out, nice to see some new faces, as well as old, and talk to everyone. everyone that goes to shows in this town is part of this scene, i've seen and played some great shows lately with lots of support, and alot of crowd enthusiasm, that always makes the show. the last few gigs have had a great mix of metal and punk fans...and its cool to see them all getting into the same type of bands..even if not what they crank out on the stereo at home all the time. - Sun, 21 Dec 2003 6:27pm

excellent excellent show.

Loved Acting Ensign, sloppy sludgecore doom. Cant wait to see them again.

Bury Whats Dead sounded very good, the sound quality of venues really makes all the difference. I saw these guys at little fernwood and wasn't that impressed, but this show deffinately changed my opinion. Not really my thing, but these guys are good at what they do, and killer nice guys as well.

Immaculate Infection, well what can I say that hasn't been said already. I've seen these guys jam before and its never a let down. Its hard to decide who to watch during their set. Fucking insane technical guitar riffs or fucking insane technical drum blasts??? Good times.

Repulverizer never fails to be entertaining and devastating at the same time. Great to hear some killer new songs. I got pissed off at the drunk fuckers falling all over their gear and interupting "Doug's response to Jordan's lyrics . . . ", but still they put on a great set.

Good to meet new people and chat it up with others. Too bad that we couldn't have played this, because I know that we all left having wish we had. Thanks to all the bands that did. - Mon, 22 Dec 2003 10:55am

i love shows at the burnside house, always lots of fun. acting ensign was great. i've never been a huge stoner rock fan but it was great none the less. Bury What's Dead were killer as usual. their new song is amazing. and then immaculate infection played and totally blew me away. i was so excited to see mega spence playin in a new band. the stop and grind was so tight it hurt. i didn't see repulverizer but they were probably amazing like always. - Mon, 22 Dec 2003 5:52pm

Man, i thought i was an idiot, but scronnyronny takes the cake! Sneaking into an all ages show is one thing (hella cool if your broke), but stealing from them? Thats low. I may be a piece of shit 'blader with a gross pubestache and a fanny pack, but you Sir, are a scooter riding (and i don't mean Vespa), nike wearing, ML7 listening slice of wonderful. Anyone that knocks Doobie smoking at an all ages show IS a tool. It's a fact, even I know that. - Sun, 28 Dec 2003 9:10am

sconny that sucks.. we actually lost money at that show because we had to rent a pa... a few people paid but i guess some took as well. fucking shitty. as for living high on the hog, we all are either on welfare, on student loans or work close to min wage jobs so can buy shitty gear and support our shitty lifestyle. leaving money unattended we didn't think would be a big deal with the underground music scene....i guess next time we'll make people stand in line, and not let them in if they don't have money... actually no we won't that is way to lame. - Mon, 29 Dec 2003 1:49pm
