| Masturbating The War God User Info... | Thanks :) I tried for 3 months to find a place in Vic that would allow dogs, no go. My parents are moving upisland, they are retired and will be travelling lots, so they couldn't keep him either. We also tried the paper, but no one panned out and most of them were creepy people. He is a very energetic dog, needs lots of space, love and fun. He was MY dog for 8 years, he is a one woman dog, and when we took him to the SPCA you could tell it wasn't going to work, he was crying and barking and just freaking out, I couldn;t have left him there. So we were faced with 2 choices, leave him there and he would be in utter confusion and totally not getting along with anyone and would end up being put down by strangers, he was very territorial, or taking him to the vet. It was the hardest decision I've ever had to make in my life, we're slowly getting over it, but I've never been so upset in my entire life. | Pooetry User Info... | Did you euthanize your dog already? I'm confused by the past/present tense being used in your post. Have you tried any of the animal rescue groups? Greater Victoria Animal Crusaders, Nana Foundation, etc., etc. The SPCA has a number of fostering programs these days. What'd they say? Not to come off as a totally insensitive cow, but I don't really get it. I slept in my car for almost a month once because I couldn't find a place that would rent me a place with my dog. It was hard because I was working 40 hours a week and one gets pretty grimy being homeless. When we did find a place, it was a small suite in a seedy crack shack, but it worked until I figured something else out. Such is life. *Violins* She's been my friend for 11 years. | V User Info... | hey look, people do what they have to do in any situation. you don't the exact circumstances here and I don't think it's fair that you make this any harder than it's been already. she said she had the dog for 8 years. i guess thats about half a life time. but it was a happy half a life time so that aint bad. I realize that's kind of like saying it's ok to shoot a man in the head when he's 43 as long as he's been having a good time, but these things are pack animals and if you separated it from its pack it would probably get confused, feel abbandoned and depressed.
