| al User Info... | Hey you guys say you hate New Wave but from a marketing stand point any new T.V commercial is playing New Wave, Pepsi=Flock of Seagulls, Swiffer= Whip it Nissan=Cars, Jeffrey Says just released a remake of Don`t You Forget About Me, No Doubt just did a remake of a Talk Talk song. Finding Nemo has Blondie`s, One way or Another. It`s a happening commodity and anyone that grew up listening to this stuff is at the age now that they `re going to be craving some flashback memories of when they first did Mary Lou while listening to Tainted Love or Everybody Wang Chung tonight. Everyone has different tastes in music, I happen to hate rap, but every chick that I know loves 80`s New wave! We`re doing it for the chicks! Knife Ghost, you should check us out . From what I`ve seen that the poppies are into I thing you`d appreciate this band. Also just a little horn tooting, all the players are very experienced, very talented and have been around the block many times. We do killer versions of Mexican Radio and Whip It. | Mike Demers User Info... | well...........until this year I never thought I would play in a cover band again in my life...yes I play in Nuvo Wavo...played original music for 25 years and fell in love with the studio....I live to be in the studio and record...but I have wife and kids and expenses so I think to myself "What is a legit way to get money to use to record original music?....so there you are... those that have a problem with cover bands hey - I tend to agree - but aside from expereince and anything else....it is wodnerful to play in a band - to play on stage and have people smile when you gt off stage.....this is a pretty fucked up world sometimes and anytime anyone us can get someone to rock and forget the craziness then all the power to them... if you think I am full of shit then let me know - this site has been aweseome for giving people a chance to really talk about music - Mike - Sat, 8 Nov 2003 8:32pm | ||
