Information and Privacy Commissioner David Loukidelis ruled bars cannot scan IDs or take photos of patrons as a condition for entry. While the commissioner's ruling was made in response to a complaint about a Vancouver club, the B.C. Civil Liberties Association said it will apply to any bars in B.C. that scan, collect and retain information from driver's licences, as the Bar Watch program does. - Wed, 22 Jul 2009 12:06pm | ||
