trevor corey User Info... | Date: Monday, July 20, 2009 Time: 7:00pm - 11:00pm Wow. The Royal Theatre. I hope the crowd can respect the old lady. - Sat, 30 May 2009 3:22am
LETSGETRAD! User Info... | its like $40 too pff - Sat, 30 May 2009 9:11pm
ricky jak User Info... | wellll... i think this venue (ROYAL) is the shits for this band... unless its just a Mike Ness acoustic set. Social Distortion is fun and they are a dancable band. How the hell are they gonna keep everyone in thier seats? I went and saw Willie Nelson at the SOFA and when he started to play "On the road again" some old cowboys and thier wives got up to dance.... which is rightfully so! The security was on them like flys to shit. What a bunch of crap that was! Will it be the same at a Royal Theater? Social Distortion is a punk band... I hope the crowd isn't getting so old that they don't want to dance. I know Mike Ness is a balding old man but I'm sure he still wants his audience to feel his music and dance. will they allow dancing at this venue? - Sun, 31 May 2009 6:28pm
rod stewert User Info... | Social Distortion is not a punk band. They are professional music... that's why it costs $40 and they are playing at the ROYAL. suit up and sit down! - Sun, 31 May 2009 7:49pm
ROSS B AY User Info... | ....here it comes..... - Sun, 31 May 2009 7:53pm
Sati User Info... | That sounds kinda sad. Come out to Vancouver, they'll be at the Commodore. - Sun, 31 May 2009 8:12pm
Trailer Park Boy Julian User Info... | I saw them at the Orpheum in Vancouver in 1997 (a venue simillar to the Royal) and it was fine. Don't get me wrong, it was a little different being in a more constricted environment, but in the end, all I remember was how good those songs sounded. - Wed, 3 Jun 2009 8:32am
Ty Stranglehold User Info... | The Orpheum is not like the Royal. I saw Public Enemy in the Orpheum in '89. Do you think they'd stand for that in the Royal? Social Distortion should not be playing a seated theatre. No self respecting rock n roll band (punk or otherwise) should. I'm only going if I can buy my $50 S.D. Tea Cozy! - Tue, 9 Jun 2009 12:29am
Trailer Park Boy Julian User Info... | Ice-T played at the Royal back in 1989 or something like that - so it's not without precident. Regardless, I think the real issue, once again, is Victoria really lacks that room that can hold 500+ people ala the Commodore. I'm guessing one reason Social Distortion isn't playing at the curling club again is the sound is pretty blah in there. - Sat, 13 Jun 2009 12:29am
Mouthpiece User Info... | I was at the show last night, WTF happened at the end? Why did he jump off the stage? Anyone see what went down? - Tue, 21 Jul 2009 9:37am
