Any band that wants to get mauled by fans while security stands by and looks like douchebags would want to play here.

I'm excited to see the Hip again, as they're great in concert. I wish DC would play hear too - they're on tour, they might as well come back and do some smaller venues while they can still move. - Wed, 4 Mar 2009 9:32am

Bands I would of loved to of seen: Dead Kennedies, Green Day, D.R.I., NoFX, Mission of Christ, Armoros...

I still think Green Day owes it to Victoria to play, at the Cameron Bandshell. :) And it would be nice to see NoFX at Logans. Pity DRI can't make it across the border. :( - Wed, 4 Mar 2009 3:23pm Edited: Wed, 4 Mar 2009 3:23pm

Was that on Quadra Street? My sister fixed their van while they were here and they stayed at her house on Quadra Street, the old house that used to have the big orange letters in the window that spelled something different every week! - Thu, 5 Mar 2009 4:45pm

Staind was fuckin amazing in 2000 when they opened for korn in seattle. But i am not too sure now on how they would be... they mellowed out quite a bit. Deftones should play save on. We need Devildriver at sugar.

Snot should come through too with the new singer! - Thu, 5 Mar 2009 4:58pm

Neil Young would be cool, although not as exciting as during his Harvest days, but you can't expect much from Neil these days. There's a number of bands I'd love to see in a curling rink environment, and #1 is Metallica. Fuck, the Pixies did curling rink, and I was sitting front and center in the upstairs lounge, blew my mind and I'm not even a Pixies fan. - Fri, 6 Mar 2009 11:09pm

I am a HUGE Pixies fan and I was front and center for the curling rink show in direct line with Frank Black. The fuck nut security guards pulled a crowd surffer over my head and the bastard kicked me in the head, causing me to bite through my lip. I stayed for the rest of the concert...making a bloody pool over the barricade. I guess Frank felt bad for me because he told the gaurd to give me the set list at the end of the show...wish he signed it though. - Fri, 20 Mar 2009 3:37pm

Griphin, you couldn't be more misinformed about Niel Young. I saw him this year absolutely rock the roof off of a sold out GM Place.
I've seen Frank Black in many incarnations play clubs in Victoria for the last ten years. He'll be back. - Fri, 20 Mar 2009 11:33pm

The Queers are coming to make up for a cancellation a coupla years ago, so that's cool and classy of them.

Too bad that Gaslight Anthem and the big Rise Against/Rancid/Riverboat Gamblers show aren't coming over - it sucks to have to make the trip to Van.

And yeah, Green Day would be great to see. - Sun, 22 Mar 2009 10:02am
