I used to get a lotta flack for the Gob sticker on my kit, so I wrote on it "Reno, not Vancouver" in hopes that people would see that it was the cool band (and not the suck-balls one), and then eventually I just stickered over it. - Wed, 28 Jan 2009 4:18pm

Can someone please fill me in on the hate for Gob? I know that the Avril/Sum 41 connections ain't the coolest, but Gob blazed a trail for a lot of people. Can't really blame 'em for wanting a bit of the pie, right?

I got into these guys in the mid-90s, moved to Vic in '97. One of the first shows I went to in this town was Gob, at The Limit.

Fuck, getting old really sucks. - Fri, 30 Jan 2009 11:55am

Our band played with gob in...hmmm.. 94! In courtenay at the skate park comp. The line up was:
GOB
Breach
Forgotten (from courtenay)
Chronic Inbreeding (campbell river)

Was a sweet show, I bought a GOB demo tape. It only had 5 songs on one side of a cassette tape. - Sat, 7 Feb 2009 6:52am

gob was great. i helped out at a gob show in duncan when i was 12 or 13. After i mouthed them off (shit disturber) they proceded to (jokingly) beat me up and fling me around on a skid panel lol. gave me a shirt and cd and yea. one of those cool kid memories... - Sun, 8 Feb 2009 12:15pm Edited: Sun, 8 Feb 2009 12:20pm

I saw GOB at Legends a few years back. They were really energetic and tight. They were all absolutely sick and looked like they were about to die.
They were good and they have a few songs I like.
Their newest radio song (which I heard a year ago on The Zone) was quite cool.
As far as that genre goes, they're the only band I can handle. - Sun, 8 Feb 2009 4:16pm

i worked at a couple of gob shows when i was 12 or 13 and after the second one while teardown i started mouthing off the other singer theo and he decided to put me in a bunch of wwf moves and toss me around lol. It was one of those cool moments u look back on. Can't blame em' for wanting to provide for their families. - Sun, 15 Feb 2009 9:40am
