Easily the most insane level of musicianship I have ever witnessed all in one band!

I agree with the Rev.....those who play that missed it missed out big time.
You don't even have to be a fan of Zappa's work to be utterly blown away at the caliber of players on the stage.

Inspiring and depressing all at the same time:P

I am also so glad I went...sorry about your seat there Lorne, the view was something else!

and it was actually at the McPherson Playhouse:) - Tue, 6 Jan 2009 6:56pm Edited: Tue, 6 Jan 2009 6:58pm

Yep that was quite a musical and comical experience indeed. Personally i would have enjoyed the show more likely in a big night club/bar i could have and figure others would also be more inclined to get up and dance get into it a bit more but understandably people myself included were awestruck and just relaxing while enjoying some brilliant entertainment. They use no video, media, specially effects etc and basic lighting, the show was clearly about the music and for 80 bux i didnt feel too ripped off, been awhile since seeing a show like that i suppose i'm spoiled from big arena acts. - Wed, 7 Jan 2009 1:35am

Glad I saw this show. It would have been cool if Darryl had of won that guitar. Oh well.
Ticket prices were steep, but I doubt anyone would complain about not getting their money's worth. Nice to see a band like this clear a hundred K playing Victoria. Can't hurt our reputation. - Wed, 7 Jan 2009 2:14am

I've never been a Zappa fan but certainly do appreciate what it is.

The show was well worth seeing. One of those unique experiences that you shouldn't pass up especially when it comes to your home town (which could always use more awesome shows that are different).

I was definitely impressed by all the top notch playing, but that was expected. I was more impressed by the overall synergy of the group as well as the improv when it happened.

100% entertaining and very glad I went.

And for future reference, box seats rule! - Wed, 7 Jan 2009 9:59am Edited: Wed, 7 Jan 2009 9:59am
