Just figured I'd make a thread for this in case there's anyone on the board who hasn't heard of the show yet. I haven't seen much promotion around, not that a 3 Inches show needs it, but here it is.

turnout was huge. sound was great.. finally nice to have some excellent stage sound. First time seeing Justin doing the heavy vocals in place of Jamie. Sounds alot better! The venue was the closest building to the accident that didnt lose power, but we thought for sure as we drove up the power would be out. Not as boring as some bands around here Craig. Although admittedly I spent most of the time outside during Mos Generator. - Sat, 15 Nov 2008 11:58pm Edited: Sun, 16 Nov 2008 12:01am

I stand corrected!
I thought the lack of reviews, in combination with the total lack of buzz or excitement over this show indicated a flop.

Look at the Dismember show. That was clearly a success. - Sun, 16 Nov 2008 9:08am

Ive noticed over the years that some shows attract alot of people who dont even know livevictoria exists, or know it but dont use the forums.. more than a few shows I helped Heather with back in the day were solid sell outs and garnered nary a peep from the gang at LV. - Sun, 16 Nov 2008 9:34am

Jamie has been gone for ages now. The last 2 times I saw 3iob (not including this most recent show) Justin has been handling Jamie's parts.
Though I can't say if he's "officially" left the band... - Sun, 16 Nov 2008 11:42am

Well they put on an amazing show in Nanaimo the following night and it was a total sell out. People came from Victoria, all the way up to past Campbell River to see these guys. They are running hot for shows!! - Sun, 16 Nov 2008 3:17pm

Craig, an example of shows with little to no buzz on LV that will do well.. look at the John Lajoie thread.. 3 posts? Yet its already been moved to a bigger venue due to demand for tickets..

Unleash the ARchers got a pretty good reaction.

Mos Generator ripped ass. good reaction as well considering theyre a stonerrock band (buddies with Nick from 3IOB so thats how they got this gig) but not as big as a reaction to the previous UTA cause there were a lot of meat head metal douches complaining it wasnt grimm enough

3IOB were good. i left the front cause ive seen them like 6 times now and dont need to be up front and center. sound was good i agree. it was also a good set list. lots of A&V and they even busted out a song off their demo (tonight we rejoice? i cant remember)

i left 3/4 though it was hot and sweaty and i was too sober to deal with the fuckheads - Mon, 17 Nov 2008 8:13pm
