The Cloak new band The Cloak is requiring members... we're jsut looking for any possibilities... currently there are two drummers, that will switch off in between different duties. A guitarist and a vocalist. We search a bassist, a second guitarist and possibly even cello if there is anyone with such a skill that is interested in this type of music.... we are aiming to be along the lines of very epic/melodic metal ala. the albums by both ISIS and NEUROSIS, we'd liek to throw in a few slower drawn out black metal riffed transitions and possibly a little bit of sludgey zepplin riffing at times. None of us are crazy heshers, jsut kids looking to belt out some pummelling epic metal. Reference the album Oceanic by Isis for our main influence. - Thu, 29 May 2003 2:43pm
Anonymous Just so you know.... The Cloak is a hurtin name. Sounds like your trekies or the opening act for the perish. Do something original like spell race car backwards or Sleigh of Presents or The Coke Addicts. - Thu, 29 May 2003 6:20pm
Anonymous i fuggin love that name!!!!!!! - Fri, 30 May 2003 2:05am
trekkie opening for perish would be almost as amazing as palying at a star trek convention. these are two goals of the band. - Fri, 30 May 2003 2:31am

I could not be more interested in "the cloak" (cloaking device would sound Gnarly-er). Check Kylesa's song "Decend within" for current infuence. We'd love to check out a jam. Equipment? Material? - Sun, 1 Jun 2003 4:42pm

oh and yer missing out on star trek, next generation is the best, then voyager, then DS-9, then enterprise, then original. - Fri, 6 Jun 2003 1:52am
The Ref Nahhhh! Goes like this; Next Gen, DS9, Voyager, Original and pullilng up the rear bigtime...Enterprise. Worst one yet... There have been three or four interesting episodes since it started.

Oh yea, just saw Star Trek Nemisis... Fuck did it ever stink!!! Pandering to the masses that just want to see explosions. No story line and they couldn't even follow the time line. Why wasn't Lore talked about etc...???

Your band idea sounds cool, post when you're playing. - Fri, 6 Jun 2003 12:27pm
wesley crusher nemesis was like a really bad episode.i didn't check but mabey J. Frakes directed it again. Worst next-gen movie (saying alot, remember the last one?). lamest beginning ever, the marriage scene, and this is taking into account the bunch of episodes that start with them playing poker. As bad as a Quark/Odo heavy DS9 episode - Fri, 6 Jun 2003 12:51pm
The Ref Love the last posters handle! Wessley Crusher! What an irritating little fuck he was!! That milk mustache face that you just wanted to punch as hard as you could! Wil Wheaton is one of the most irritating actors every to disgrace the stage of any Star Treks!!!

Kill Wil, kill Wil. No, Kill Wessley, kill Wessley! Everytime it looked like that character was about to be killed, I cheered! But alas, it never happened. I was ever so happy when he left the series! - Fri, 6 Jun 2003 2:26pm

will wheaton (wes crusher) was a pillar of the next gen enterprise and yer are disrespecting the dynamic of young starship ensign. I think worf smoked coco puffs off set. - Tue, 10 Jun 2003 2:19am
Anonymous OK even that new enterprise show is better then that aweful garbage excuse for a cash grab claaed DS9. DS( was absolutely horrid. I remember being a young man and if I was at home watching TV and DS9 was the only thing on during a rainy day, I would go outside and play in the rain. Nex Gen was the best, the original follows, everything else is just filler garbage, although voyager did have that borg bitch with the big boobs. - Tue, 10 Jun 2003 12:28pm
