Real death metal, not the conservatory arpeggio bleep bleep trigger shit. Strange to see them in an environment like Soprano's, but it worked. The view from the side of the stage was awesome. The moron who asked for his hat back annoyed the fuck out of me moshing with a glass of beer. Glad his rant got denied by the sound guy. | Mr. Hell User Info... | Tight performances all around. Nice turnout for an old school band like Dismember, but I'm sure UTA and Augury helped with that. The room is much better since the mirrors have been covered up. Looking forward to hearing a band in there with a proper PA and bins. It will be pretty damn cool! The sound last night left a lot to be desired, but that was due to the tin can telephone system that was in place. Soundman did what he could with what was there. It was awesome to hear that Sunlight sound in person! Hard to hear at times, but still. Nothing played off of Pieces E.P., which disappointed me. I heard that they have a 55 song repertoire and will play requests. Too bad I wasn't aware. DAMN! Still, what a treat! Great job by UTA and Augury on support! UTA will be reimbursed for the Mickey Mouse sound last night with big booming motherfucker sound on Friday at Sugar. And man, it was really fucking hot in there. - Sun, 9 Nov 2008 5:42pm | ||
| Doc User Info... | It always gets hot in there when there's more than like 50 people in the bar. There's no air flow in that room. The right side speaker was popping all night b/c it was blown the Saturday before. They had their own bins, but the sound guy wanted to run through ours as well because they were elevated. I told him that they were blown, but he wanted to anyway. Thought the bands were great, but working during the show was kinda rough. I was particularly impressed with UTA, who I hadn't heard live before.
