| Beemish User Info... | Heya, we have an established indie band (similar genre to Sam Roberts, Pumpkins, Radiohead, Elliot Smith) that plays 10-20 shows a year, and we're currently recording album #1 over winter 2008/09. What we need is a chick bass player to provide some visual dynamic on stage. Currently we are a four piece, all vocalists, rhythm guitar, bass, keys and drums. Our current bass guy would move to lead guitar when we find the right girl. About you: 1. Be decent @ your instrument and possess your own bass rig (meaning you own, rent or borrow it yourself!) 2. If you sing, that's a plus. But the style of singing that would be a huge asset is a girl with a sweet voice, like Ingrid Michaelson or Metric... not throaty/low/funky/operatic. 3. Be 19-30 years old looking 4. Be available two nights a week from about 7.30-9.30, plus shows. About us: Assets include: 1. Lots of vehicles to haul shit around 2. A free venue to practice in 2x a week 3. All of us have jobs so we can finance things like road trips for shows 4. All the gear to put on a show in a small venue 5. We reinvest most show revenue back into the band to fund unpaid gigs, replacing band equipment, etc. But also the band pays for the occasional pizza. 6. We're good guys, you'll see.
