| denny User Info... | The Cobalt was in full swing last night and all the mohawks, denim, leather, and pierced were out to take in the bands. I missed the opening act Brewtality but was told they played 8 songs about beer and 1 song not about beer. I was told I missed out. Lesbian Fist Magnet graced the stage with all the presence of swat team. There were tight pants, luchador and devils masks, and enough shredding to keep even the metal heads happy. Not that there seemed to be any there anyway, but there was some face melting solos played. They featured a lead vocalist of the female variety, and she could pack a punch. But it was their lead guitarist's showmanship that kept me enthralled. High kicks, head banging, jumping around, and a big smile that can only make you do the same. I bet he gets all the chicks. Alcoholic White Trash are exactly as the name states. Vulgar obscenities are spit into the microphone from lead singer Rat Boy Roy (I wonder if anyone calls him RBR?) between songs, and during songs he really belts them out. The mosh pit tore itself into a fury of sweat and fists, and when drunks climbed on the stage Roy didn't push them away, or give them space. He embraced them. Then he took there beer and was careful to pouring it down his throat and chest with out letting it touch his lips. At one point he let one of the punkers in the pit repeatedly punched his flexed stomach. He was sure to punch back when he had had enough. Everyone jumped on the stage for the Alcoholic White Trash theme song and called it a night. - Sat, 26 Jul 2008 1:00pm | ||
