| Jerome Lyons User Info... | Hello! I just moved to Victoria at the start of August to attend UVic. I mostly play guitar and I can sing but I'd prefer to do back up vocals. I can do leads but I'm not much of a lyricist; so if you're a lyricist with no voice that could be perfect. I want to start jamming with some talented people with similar musical interests. I would really love to do some pop/punk along the lines of some of the newer bands coming out like Neck Deep, The Story So Far, State Champs, etc. But I'm also willing to step it up and get heavy along the lines of A Day To Remember, Four Year Strong, Chunk No Captain Chunk etc. I'd even be down to get really heavy, but I've found that heavy bands sound way too generic with the wrong people. If I was with a creative group of people and it didn't sound super generic, I would definitely be down. I want to be somewhat semi-serious with this band. By that I mean I want a group of people who want to write, practice, and play music. Not just people who are looking for a group to get high and drunk with. I also would love to tour the world if it took off, but sticking to the "semi-serious" theme I wouldn't be putting 8 hours a day into this band. Lastly I live in a small basement of a house with 2 other renters so jamming with a full band at my place just wouldn't happen. If someone has a rehearsal space that would be awesome!! | Sati User Info... | Looks like a few people checked this out, but sadly, the messageboard hasn't been used consistently for a long time now. Search for musicians and list yourself in the Victoria Musicians Directory http://LiveVictoria.com/Musicians (you'll also find the tab above). And you may want to check the Band directory for Bands Seeking Musicians. You've moved to the right place. I live in Vancouver, but think Vic has to be one of the most important places on earth for punk.
