| Mica Strong User Info... | Hey. I'm Mica and I have a buddy (the aformentioned Jimmy James) who is a pretty wicked drummer. I am a male vocalist and lyricist. I also play guitar, but my thing is singing and it is my primary focus . We need a crazy bassist who is creative, can keep time drunk or sober and can come up with, and likes to play, original banging bass beats to keep people moving. Furthermore, and most importantly, we need a stellar and creative lead guitarist who can rip shit up, but also likes to take off on entrancing melodic benders. You are a riff master and you love to change the tempo; you are a Jedi and you've traded your light sabre in for an axe. You are the melody maker and in essence, the backbone of the band. You give me riffs and hooks and I lay on the lyrics. Neither of you are coke heads, flakes, egomaniacs or broke and in need of a loan. You have your own gear and you are patient. We are going to write all original material and we are going to mind numbingly rock the Victoria scene. We don't give a shit whether you are male or female. We don't care if you are nineteen or ninety (ok maybe not ninety), as long as you rip. Preferably you like Hockey, but that isn't a must as we will convert you. | jim musselwhite User Info... | hey Mica... jim here... riff master,(as in guitar and vocal...though the vocal may be better suited as back-up) manic writer...have tons of material to draw on, have been writing punk/alternative/pop rock lately and am getting close to being ready for studio... but as I'm not quite there yet... it is in my best interest to check out all options. The last band I was in was Universal Surf... opened for Quiet Riot (at Ingy) Played Sooke feast, got one song on a skateboard video, same song you can read about on Trooper's web site. If you log onto trooper.ca and go to the descriptions of their 30 some odd tours... go to the 26th tour, named the Teaser Tour, after "the song"-scroll down to the words universal surf, and see how they screamed the song after gigs all the way across Canada....had to brag-nobody else will if I don't... just so you'll know I'm fairly commited towards my music....give me a call 652-3544... by the way, I've since written better songs and can't wait to fully develope them.I've been jamming with a 17 year old drummer, who's not only a great drummer,but very creative as well... hope to hear from you. - Tue, 15 Oct 2002 10:32pm | ||
