Lythic Elliot Just wondering who has recorded there, what they thought of the quality, price, equipment, production, etc. We're looking to do some recording hopefully before summer. Thanks. - Wed, 12 Mar 2003 2:15am

Elliot, as most of our clients do not come to LiveVictoria, I put up a temp page with a series of (unmastered) MP3's at:

http://www.electricmountain.com/electricMP3.html

Suffice to say, there is no other studio on the island that offers the quality of sound and equipment, at a price that even the average musician can afford.

Cheers. - Wed, 12 Mar 2003 10:57pm
Stone those Explosive Rage Disorder tracks sound killer. - Thu, 13 Mar 2003 1:40am
Zander The Explosive Rage tracks were quick demos done in a couple days. They wanted to come in and feel out the studio, and see what results they could get before committing time to working on there new album. Suffice to say they were stoked with the results and value for money, and are now back currently recording their new album, which is sounding killer. Any serious band out there owes it to themselves to come and check us out here. We are second to none when it comes to quality of gear we offer, affordable rates and end product.

Cheers...................Zander - Thu, 13 Mar 2003 10:06am
Jason Z Best recording Ive heard lately is Meatlocker 7's.. anyone know where this was recorded? I remember there was a huge thread about it months ago,,, And where did ERD record their last album ( it wasnt bad either! ) and where can I hear new ERD tracks??? - Thu, 13 Mar 2003 12:08pm
MA Two new 'demo' ERD tracks are here:

http://www.electricmountain.com/electricMP3.html

their last album I believe was done with Scott Henderson, the new one is being tracked at Electric Mountain. 'Nothing' by ERD has some absolutely blazing double drum playing. - Thu, 13 Mar 2003 12:17pm
ML7Mike Heya.. thanks Jason.. we worked hard at it. Zander has similar setup that we used in that its all done on 2" tape. Cant wait to hear the ERD stuff.. thx for link - Thu, 13 Mar 2003 1:18pm
ML7Mike Oh to answer the other question, we recored at Zero Gravity with Rob Toth... he also coproduced our video which you can see here http://www.meatlockerseven.com/video

These ERD tracks sound really good so far.. very crisp and clean.. good work Zander! - Thu, 13 Mar 2003 1:22pm
Jedi Who or what studios have 2" tape? - Thu, 13 Mar 2003 1:25pm
Anonymous only Electric Mountain and Zero gravity have 2"tape. on the island. - Thu, 13 Mar 2003 1:30pm
Anonymous absolutely fucking crushes digital on metal. - Thu, 13 Mar 2003 1:36pm
ML7Mike Yes it does.. its much fuller and warmer. Digital really cant quite do it yet.. Im sure with advances in technology it isnt far off that digital can do it, but Im also sure some auiophiles would argue that it is scientifically impossible. All I know is its expensive.. about $240 for 14 mins worth of tape.. - Thu, 13 Mar 2003 1:42pm
Anonymous Zander, what are we hearing here with ERD? Demo stuff, or finished? - Thu, 13 Mar 2003 4:26pm
Zander The ERD tracks were recorded and mixed in a couple of days. They wanted to get a sense of the studio, and me as an engineer before committing to recording the entire new album. We are now recording the new album including re recording those tracks again. Their new shit is sounding like their best in my opinion. Killer......cheers......Zander - Thu, 13 Mar 2003 9:11pm
Elliot Hey Mike, do you know how I could get in touch with Zero Gravity? Do they have a website or anything? - Thu, 13 Mar 2003 10:26pm
