Whats your Favorite Horror/Slasher/Scary/Bloody/Creepy Movie? I saw Rob Zombies Remake of Halloween and it has to be just as good if not better than the Original. Its fucked. I like how they venture off into his child hood and show how screwed his family was and where he came from. I saw it when it came out, i meant to put a review but i saw the commerical for it Because its out on DVD now.

But Anyhow... my top 5

1. Halloween(Remake)
2. Halloween(Original)
3. Hostel
4. Return of the Living Dead 3
5. Devils Rejects - Sat, 29 Dec 2007 4:20pm

........."Driller Killer"?
Damned if I can actually get my hands on that.

"The Tenant"? You sure that ain't closer to black comedy? Awesome flick - don't get me wrong.
Has anybody seen "My Sweet Satan"? I've been trying to acquire that one also. (did Jim van Bebber also do the John Martin film?) - Mon, 31 Dec 2007 9:20am Edited: Mon, 31 Dec 2007 9:31am

I saw "I Am Legend" tonight. Very good, unfortunate use of the dogs though. I disapprove when it comes to negative portrayal of dogs, or their unfortunate demise. I always know the dog is going to get it in the end, and I just don't see the need to write that into a script. - Tue, 1 Jan 2008 2:40am

I'm a vagitarian...........and a dog lover. This movie broke two rules for me, it portrayed "bully" type dogs in a vicious type manner, and it killed off the "good" dog for no good reason. - Tue, 1 Jan 2008 7:08pm

A movie starting half an hour on tv - "Don't Be Afraid of the Dark". I remember it being a tv movie of the week in '73. I always had this yucky little image in mind when I was a kid, (among many yucky images in my mind) of one of the nasty little creatures in the movie, poking its head up from underneath the dinner table. And buddy at the end, dropping his flashlight down the chimney chute. Nothing like cheery images to colour those "formative years". - Tue, 1 Jan 2008 8:13pm

I can't recall the name of the series, but it as well was made for TV in the late 70's. The only portion that sticks out in my mind, as it was a collection of shorts, was an African doll that ends up coming to life (due to the owner being a prick and removing the chain 'belt' he/she was warned never to remove) and slaughtering all in it's path. Was a damn good series, and I still think of it often. - Tue, 1 Jan 2008 9:01pm

All right Doug! Nice to see "Carnival Of Souls" on your list. That's definitely in my top 10.

I find "The Tenant" to be funny yes, but also to be uber disturbing. Polanski can manipulate me psychologically like no one else but Lynch.

"My Sweet Satan" is another short-form film from Van Bebber and yes it's great.
He also did a super fun Zombie-Kung Fu flick called "Deadbeat at Dawn" that's worth checking out. - Wed, 2 Jan 2008 10:39am

One of the most soul-wrenching, mind-blowing mindfucks of a movie I'll probably ever EVER see - yes.....horror - mmmmm-no. Jodorowski is about as scary as Bonnie Franklin. (as in - not very.)
Yeah, Micheal Rooker was awesome in "Henry".
"Rituals" - dismissed by some as a "Deliverance" knock-off, but WAY-hey hella creepier. (the hideous hillbilly ogre psychopath - and his shenanigans - are top shelf)
"Peeping Tom" - intense 1960 gem. It gets pretty nasty.
I'm surprised no one's mentioned "The Ring" or "The Exorcist" (first ones only)
Would "Citizen X" be closer to mystery or horror? - Thu, 3 Jan 2008 10:18pm Edited: Thu, 3 Jan 2008 10:20pm

Does anyone remember maybe ten years ago, maybe longer when they had that show on fox about that family that head been Abducted by aliens and they had "Real Genuine" Footage of it happening. And the lights were going on and off in the house and everyone was scrambling. The father and the kid went outside to check on the cows and there was a alien burning one alive. They all slowly vanish and the last clip was of the kid backing up into his room holding the camera and the door shutting and a alien was behind it and he couldnt move?

I want to watch it again but i cant remember the name - Thu, 3 Jan 2008 11:05pm Edited: Thu, 3 Jan 2008 11:06pm
