this was really good and I had a good time. I think everyone had a swell evening
well, at least eventually I had a good time.
has anyone wrote anything about the guy who got tossed?
I figured some other passionate people would have beat me to it.
from what I have heard there is a history with that guy and his friends.
If I am to put on a show were he + were likely to show up I was them to sign a simple contract. sounds silly I know, but if he breached the contract at all I would boot him for life. one chance. too generous? to harsh? - Sun, 20 Jan 2008 4:18am

"That guy" posts on this forum very frequently, I guess he's electing to stay out of this thread. Somehow I doubt you're going to have to worry about him showing up to anymore hardcore shows though. - Sun, 20 Jan 2008 10:36am Edited: Sun, 20 Jan 2008 10:37am

Sorry to you guys who complained. This thread has been moved.

In future we'll try to make sure that threads that have actually turned into reviews are moved to the reviews area, and threads that aren't reviewed yet won't get moved ahead of time.

Mods pls take note. (Yes, we've all got favorites - a polite reminder is all it takes!) - Sun, 20 Jan 2008 12:38pm Edited: Sun, 20 Jan 2008 12:41pm

The guys who got tossed were me and my buddy cordell. We come into a show, and mosh like we always do. No harder than how I've moshed at pussy emo shows. No weaker than actual punk shows. We moshed.

NEVER, in years of going to shows, have I had a bunch of douchebags start tripping and grabbing kids shirts in the pit. That was just disrespectful, and quite plainly, pathetic.

I would understand if we were actually pushing around kids, but just because the hardcore scene doesn't like the couple punks that show up to bring the mosh is no reason to start pulling bitch moves like tripping people in the pit.

This dork grabs my shirt, so I turn around and grab him and yell at him why the fuck he'd do that, and suddenly I'm the bad guy and get kicked out. I've been saying this since I was five... "you guys started it!"

You kids enjoy your scene. Dance at the designated breakdowns, dont move for the rest of the song. Wear tight black pants.

I just regret going, and expecting a punk show.

Oh and I have no problem signing a contract to get into future shows, as I was in the right, I was grabbed first, I got fucking dogpiled and my back is still hurting from some wiener who thought it would be funny to knee me in the kidney while I was already subdued on the ground. I would expect any man with any balls to stand up for themselves as I did if they're being treated like that by a larger group.

I did not outstep my bounds once, everything I did was justified.

hey dan. troy and I think you and cordell are cool kids. we like seeing you guys at these shows. when you guys were moshing, cordell pushed dax (vocalist of breaking point) out of the way and punched at him a few times. the first few times it seemed alright, but then it was obvious he was doing it every single time he came around in the circle. I wasn't bugged by it because I know cordell is just a kid having fun, but it seemed like a few guys tried to get you guys to stop and it just escalated stupidly the way fights always do. the parading in a circle, knocking everyone with your fists, doesn't seem to go over well at hardcore shows. I'm not going to get into the whole "rules of moshing" because that's stupid dramatic bullshit, but what you guys did just ended up becoming a fight. I really don't want there to be segregation in the punk scene and I wish everyone could be friends at all the shows. you're a really nice kid and not everyone knows that. - Fri, 8 Feb 2008 1:10am
