| Sati User Info... | AND IT WAS! Hey Ricky, nice job on the vocals! Its good to hear someone in town concentrating on those constant low gurgles and doing them so well. You totally held your own on a night full of amazing vocalists. And there were a few parts in the L.C. set overall that I especially liked. The order turned out to be with Zuckuss playing middle slot, with Sinned after them. You couldn't have asked for a better showcase of our local death/grind - well done on Jesse's part. It seemed like almost every one of the bands took it up a step, & probably tweaked their regular sets especially for this big event (as well they should!). Almost every one that I caught seemed to do exceptionally well. Sinned turned out to be the big surprise for me. They were nothing if not meticulous and with all kinds of feel. I like the way they didn't water anything down like I'd heard them do in past. Relentless, driving, powerful and fluid with absolutely no lapses or hesitation that I could tell - they did not tire! And totally lived up to their solid rep, which is great, because it seems like right or wrong, they're the band thats kind of held responsible for holding down or bringing with them a lot of lofty grind history around here. So for a band to carry all that and then actually live up to (the rep) and surpass it, is almost a relief. Drums & vox stand out in my mind. And good gawd, ZUCKUSS!!! Everytime I think its time I give it a rest, they reel me back in. They just raise the bar for everyone - they're still my absolute favorites. Why? They play so well, they work so hard, they PLAY around meaning they still have loads of fun, they don't mind faltering because they make a practice of taking chances, they're each such interesting characters...
