I love these guys I spent all day at mcdonalds for them eat drink skate! Than came The Mother Fuckers! They are one of the best bands I've ever seen seriously, I love these guys, Its great to see bands doing pointless songs about how much ordinary people suck and how great drinking is, and keeping away from all that political crap, than came some nu-hardcore tough guy band.....than was AK47! Great set again, these guys really kick ass. Overall a wicked show! - Sun, 19 Nov 2006 10:47pm

well, a very very fun show

MBL - in my oppinion a extremely fun set, 3 people liked us(cordell, tyler, bryce) the rest didnt like us mostly due the lack of "hardcore break down parts", i fucked up lots, my bass didnt sound right, but it was fun and thats all that mattered

The Hoosegow, ruled as they always due

the motherfuckers, generic punk, nothing really amazing, for some reason they dont like GG....i dont know why

then i left cause i was bored and yeah - Mon, 20 Nov 2006 12:35am Edited: Mon, 20 Nov 2006 12:35am

Calling Dragline a "nu-hardcore tough guy band" is stunningly ignorant. Especially since you weren't even there for their set.
Dragline was excellent, everyone gave it their all despite the poor turnout. After-hours karaoke was the most fun. - Mon, 20 Nov 2006 10:37am

o yea i must review.

grandma's birthday party...shwoed up in a dress shirt :)

k i thought we were great until "some1" pushed the mic into my face, cordel rubbing his blood on me, nmot being able to read the setlist and getting shit for it from my favorite band mate who also wrote it lol. not hearing jeffs vocals. getting mocked by the villiage idiot. watching everything fall apart as "we" started insulting the audience for their lifestyles(i cant seem to remember who we are playing for when we accept a show.....oh no fuck it cant be the people who paid to see us...). being extremely stoned i think something was in that weed...i had 2 puffs and was FUCKED lol. and last but not least reading these phoney reviews.

all around shit night for me. sorry..im not going to blow sunshine up my own ass, i have the other bands for that.

so some1 remind me to turn down any future shows with hardcore bands as we will just insult you and the people who like ur music. - Mon, 20 Nov 2006 6:51pm

I enjoyed myself in spite of blowing out my voice. I had to leave during Dragline (Family calls), but they seemed pretty good... Not necesisarily my thing, but going for it none the less. AK always rules and it sucks that I missed them.

Thanks to Brian for hookin' it up as always.

ps: I'm not a fan of other people's blood. I'm jus' sayin' - Mon, 20 Nov 2006 9:07pm

Dragline were AWESOME!! Far from tough guy.... Ak-47 was freaking rad as always. The Hoosegow were excellent of course, as usual. The Mother Fuckers played a great set , it was an all round pretty deccent show other than the turn out. I am also not a fan of other people's blood on me. As for Mind Between the Lines, stop generalizing hardcore kids as narrow minded , judgemental assholes. I think the hardcore scene has been nothing but supportive of you guys including those who do not particulary enjoy your style of music. Just becuse someone doesn't feel like running around and smashing into each other doesn't mean they are judging you. - Tue, 21 Nov 2006 3:03pm

heyhey you got me all wrong!
I was there for thier set the whole time buddy, and i know i've had the "nu-hardcore" lecture before about how its not new, but its still newer than "real" (or origional or whatever who cares) hardcore. I'm just not into that kinda stuff, so I didint say any bad shit about the band.

and why is everyone scared of blood? Its fucing cool.
oh and the motherfuckers did liek gg, they played a gg cover homebre!

...ohh yeha andrew dude, its supposed to be an honoring thing to recive blood fro man audiance member thats like, means i have great respect for yeah guys! - Tue, 21 Nov 2006 8:55pm Edited: Tue, 21 Nov 2006 8:56pm

People aren't stoked on having blood get on them because they don't want to catch Hep-C. Not suggesting that you do, but it's not exactly healthy.
Also a major thanks to Jodi and Austin for the help they provided. - Tue, 21 Nov 2006 10:27pm

Yes! please! Give me your blood.
Where is the danger? Has it all died off?
This is why I like Liam at our shows, last time he showed me respect by slapping me i nthe middle of a song and pouring booze in my mouth (most of it ending up on my bass). which i soo respect him for it.

Tyler, shut up alright. Dude I know oyur a decent guy and all but I just think your beign wayy to critical.

I think fun shows are as what Andrew said, you know being drun kand slamin' round. But there has to have some fun danger (not like dicks who hit kids at shows, that sucks) just like fun danger like getting wailed i nthe face and stuff.

oh and tyler your the one who made me bleed, so dont whine.

guys,

I like mind between the lines. I love the fact that you guys are putting shows on and forming new bands. The music is fun and I enjoyed your set at this show, which is the first time I had actually seen you play. The absolute underground review was just one line about someone saying they thought you were average, because I had arrived to that show late. It was unfair of me, yeah.

It sucks that you are creating your own alienation between punk and hardcore. I think mixing bands up and mixing the scenes up means more people have fun and get exposed to different music.

If you saw laughing and got upset by it, seriously don't take it to heart. I was laughing time to time because, let's face it, Cordell is ridiculous and it's funny. The blood was sick and some of his antics are a bit over-the-top, but I love that you guys had some fans who had fun during your set while everyone else stood around.

I agree there are some judgemental people in hardcore, but as someone mentioned there are a lot of open minded people, which is why shows like these can happen. I also agree some of the stereotypes in hardcore are creating this sort of segregation, but it's easy to stereotype music and there's no need.

I want to see MBL play more hardcore shows. Look, I know not a lot of people were getting into your set and you were bummed about a few things, but whatever, it can improve. - Thu, 14 Dec 2006 3:55am
