| Andrew User Info... | extra excited about this one. I am not usualy into the whole vegan thing but i think this is a great exception. Will try to get the girlfriend to take the day off work and come. she really enjoyed sam's singing. cancer sucks. i couldnt imagine getting it, or having to deal with some1 i am close to having it. lets all hope for the best. fuck the local politics for one night, everyone should show up to this. after all the genre/scene bullshit we're all human beings. | xXxComradexXx User Info... | yeah thanks Tyler, there will actually be a second part to the poster with the lists of the workshops, the times, who is reading poetry, what films, all that info... not confirmed yet but there may be a film about Jeery Useless, who played Bass in the SUBHUMANS and spent time in Jail for fire bombing a porn store that was selling rape films... Max Slaon will be reading poetry (anarchist poet was featured on some black kronstadt and iskra albums and read at a self rule show, also hosts a radio show) Allan Antliff will be one speaker, he authored ONLY A Beguining-An Anarchist Anthology, and Anarchism in the Arts, as well as founding the edmonton anarchist reading circle, a toronto free school, publishing tons of articles, and has toured speaking, he is the art history proffessor at UVIC, and a freind to the punk scene that you may have seen tabling som events of mine in the past. I beleive he will be talking about direct action anad anarchist punks in canada in the 80s. Also Clare will be speaking, she is from Calgary, and had done many workshops on Zine Making, Silk Screaning, and Sexual Assault in the punk scene, you can also catch her at Nov 25, FTF show for the international day to stop violence towards women, she will be speaking there on sexual assault in the punk scene. Its not for me to say, but there are a couple of people a lot of us here know who fall into that category. Allan Antliff is talking about anarchism in the 80s in vancouver, and the bombingas of a BC hyro plant, a porn store that sold rape films, and a plant that made nuclear gidence devices. As well as Gary Hanna (subhumans) and the yippies...? Wolf Edwards (iskra) is talking about anarcho-punk. The Wrath- (Catlynn and Janette) are doing a workshop on DIY alternatives to menstral pads and tampons. I think there may also be a anarchist spoken word presentation... He is a great spoken word artist, and has recently come back from Mexico where he was living as a human rights observer in Oaxaca only months ago, was able to wittness Comador Marcos speak, and helped to stop his arrest. I had an eye infection and scrape on my eye, so I could not see for the last 2 days, and even now it is all blurry and hazy, and hurts. I am not totally sure when the bands will play, so soon as you can make it is best, soon as every thing is finnished the bands will play. worshops should go till 7:30 at least.
