hahahahahaha...wow. anyway on topic, my favourite metal band is that one nobody's heard of.. you know.. they have that logo that looks like it's made of white veins or lightning or something.. you can't really see it though? yeah! that band is rad. also I like saying I listen to 40 different genres which all happen to end with the word metal. and I really like blood and gore and goo and all that other stuff because it fits with my metal image. but fuck that screamo/emo bullshit, even though the true stuff can be way more dissonant and chaotic than metal, because I can't afford to be associated with something people would call me a pussy for! and metalcore sucks, only because it's cool to hate hardcore, right? - Tue, 5 Sep 2006 2:02pm Edited: Tue, 5 Sep 2006 2:08pm

I thought this was some new dance move, and trevorcorey was just rudely demanding someone entertain him. Happily, I now know what he meant.

They count. They were pretty fucking incredible last week with Big Business at the Commodore, too.

Well just don't go getting any Agoraphopic Nosebleed from that, Sati!

For the reason below, I think Stryper may be the "new pug":

(from stryper.com)

The Stryper Church Tour:
Added: Wednesday Dec 29, 2005
We are in the process of organizing a tour that will take place in 2006 and be a first for Stryper, on multiple levels. Stryper will be doing a rare acoustic-style tour of churches across America. Interested in making sure Stryper plays your church? Here's what you do: Go to your music director, youth pastor, pastor, or organizer of concerts in your church and ask if they would be interested in learning more about this very rare Stryper tour. We will be playing churches that can hold at least 750 people. If they would like to learn more about The Stryper Church Tour, please have them email Stryper's manager, Dave at DeepSouthEntertainment.com.

/I hope that church across from the Y is into it.

IRON MAIDEN (I know certain people don't consider them metal any more, but most of these people are mallgoth/nu-metal kids and therefore they don't have valid opinions and are not considered people)

Blind Guardian
ЭПИДЕМИЯ - (Russian Power Metal)
Galneryus - (Japan)
Rhapsody
Sonata Arctica

I gotta ask why this is thought to be true. Their metallic material is as metal as a lot of the bands on here. Of course not all their material is heavy, riff oriented music but much of it is as crushing as early Venom and Black Sabbath as well as some material by many of the bands listed on here. Besides elitism, stubborness and The Melvins themselves claiming to not have a metal bone in their bodies, gimme some reasons or even one reason why they aren't considered metal by some of you?
