| _Griphin_ User Info... | I hear The Remanes are playing tonight (in replacement of Breach), I was gonna head down there but I'm sick with an upset stomach, and there's certain people I really don't want to run into :( Nice to see The Jungle used my idea about bringing in different bands rather then using a house band, pity they never did it sooner (I originally chatted with the owner when the Jungle first opened, which I posted about here), and pity Monty's is still a dive. | jake warren User Info... | griphin you need to chill...the room is fine...best sightlines in the city...stage needs to be a bit bigger and i plan to have it done for the next show. we had a decent turnout considering Pride Tiger was at Lucky Bar. Another 50 paid and I'd have been more stoked...but i had a great night. Just to be clear...The Jungel Room has nothing to do with booking bands..I book the bands and promote the show. I borrow the room for the night. Jungle staff, management etc...have nothing to do with the show other than bar service. And NOFX doesn't play here because they aren't touring. | D ROC User Info... |  venue was kinda sketch but otherwise it turned out pretty good I thought. Playing my drums sideways was kinda fucked but the stage was really quite small and set up kinda poorly, hopefully next time (if there is a next time) the stage will be set up different. At least the riser in the back could have been a bit bigger. I'm not complaining though, still had a great time! Thanks for having us play! Anyone get pictures from this show!! | slEazy User Info... | I thought the venue was great. Look very forward to playing there again. Jake has promised a better stage next time. Thanks to him for conitinuing to push forward. The dudes filming the show are going to be filming our next show and putting the footage together with a song from our demo that will be aviailable for download shortly after. They will also be doing the upcoming S.F.A. show too with some added steamy girly hottub footage that will be available for download as well. Both the videoers and the ladies (and hottub if you ask really nicely) are available to other bands wanting to put together short vids as well. Email me for details. | ricky jak User Info... | Boojakka. Yes the Murderers killed again. I had a good time but yes that stage was too small. I was right in the front and every once and a while i would get some really clear heavy guitar riffs blasting through. At first i thought it was some crappy sound man.... then i realized it was sLeazy standing in front of the amp and every time he moved out of the way i got the pure guitar sound.... no offence sleazy but maybe you could loose some wieght. I tried to introduce myself a couple of times to you slaeZy that night but you just walked by. "rock stars eh" Now you have an excuse to stop and hit me for calling you fat. Just don't hit me on the right side i got a tumour there. We had alot of fun and thanks Jake for the team discount. Jake has been pushing punk in this city for years now and i know it's a thankless job... i couldn't think of a better person to do it. Jake... happy 35th birthday brother! Lets never grow up and continue to feel the energy of punk music in those seedy little venues. here's to our long lives. Too bad the other looser bands cancelled. | jake warren User Info... | one more time...THE JUNGLE NIGHT CLUB gets nothing from me. I rent the PA system and bring it into the club, I do the poster, I book the bands, I pay the bands. And in this case, I even buy the bands drinks! The only thing the venue (Jungle) does is open the doors and sell booze and provide security. Aaron, I'll stay out of it.
