It got a good review in the last Razorcake (and it wasn't me that wrote it)... The best part is when the reviewer says "I bet these kids rock live." Kids indeed. LOL.

incidently, I love it. - Sat, 14 Jan 2006 1:42pm

I've had a couple of good sessions with this AK47 CD. It is clean, just the right length, and powerful. I like to listen to it.... but for some reason it brings me down, i recon it makes me think.... just around the outskirts of what the songs are really about. I see the word Fuck alot, blood, hopelessness, go fuck yourself, prepare yourself for war, revolution, rape theft murder, ignorance ..... ahhhh this world and the people that live on it... there is some strong lyrics here. To Serve Protect and Murder....

for some reason When i take my little daughter to school and i see all the kids laughing and playing and happy.... i want the world to be like that.... but it ain't.

Aw, Ricky...
I gave that to you for Christmas!
I'm sorry to hear it's such a bringdown.

I never see that as the point of the Hardcore records I love-- I always take the anger and passion away with me when I listen to an angry record. Those things make me feel alive.
It's the intended spirit they music is delivered in that matters to me.
The best (Blcak Flag damaged, for example) make me wanna smash shit instantly.***that's putting it in very simple terms, obviously*** It's a call to action via the emotional impact of the music.

Thats exactly what we are trying to do with our music. Provoke a positive response through our expression of the compressing negativity that this world is awash in.

At first you may be pissed/scared/angry but afterward maybe it'll make you look deeper into an issue you see right next door that's troublesome. That you know is equally as unjust as the global issues we use to illustrate the vastness of the planet's disease.

And maybe you'll step towards a tiny change.

It's already done it's job in a way. There's way too many people on this continent who are complacent and all too happy with the way things are going.
Not you, Rick. You've been involved in this scene too long to be blind. But there's a ton out there and they need a slap in the face.
They'll never hear our music but when we make it we feel as though we are striking nonetheless.

I'm glad people like it.
Keep listening, Ricky, and think about where we were 20+ years ago and how you felt then.
I still feel it today.

Rawb brother

It's hardcore!!! Yes the power... i do still get it every once and awhile when i'm standing by the speakers at live gigs. and a slapping in the face on a world issue is always good to keep us awake. AK47 is good! And the music is definatly doing what its supposed to do.
Mood and thinking.... i had two friends die this week so my mood is down anyway. I'm just at that mood where i feel i have to live every day to the fullest....

I still think Nothing to Lose-Ned is a better album, but then again that's just me. I personally found some of the songs on the new AK47 CD either ended too quickly or were edited wrong (does that make any sense?!?), not to say the songs on it sucked, cause they don't. - Sun, 29 Jan 2006 10:38pm
