The lineup already is as follows: Vinegaroon, Blind Eye, Beautiful Void, and we're looking for a couple other bands to fill some spots. It doesn't matter whether you're hardcore, metal, ska, whatever just as long as you're good and will attract some fans. If you're interested email me at [email protected] or the band at [email protected] - Wed, 16 Nov 2005 8:12pm

To everyone still wondering what is up with the show the bands playing now are as follows: Vinegaroon, Beautiful Void, Rock and Roll Circus, HRP, and the Vendors, it could still all change, but that's what'll most likely happen sorry to all the other bands who wanted to play it would be great if you could but there just simply isn't enough room. I wish it could be Woodstock 05 but it isn't. - Sun, 20 Nov 2005 10:11am

If you want to learn about the PA we're using I suggest you contact Will of Rock n'Roll Circus since they're supplying it. And I hope all the bands playing will read this: to pay off the $200 dollar booking fee every band should pitch in $33 to cover, and that's including my own. Remember that's $33 PER BAND, NOT MEMBER, despite what some people might have said. All money made from the show will be spilt evenly with all the bands (tickets will go for $5 a piece). Which means get as many friends and family to go and support your stuff, so hopefully we should atleast make back what we had to pay for the show. I mean if only about 50 people show up everyone should make back what they put in plus a little extra. But of course I'm hoping we can bring in a little more than just 50 people. And about posters and whatnot I'm working on it, but for now try and spread the news by word of mouth. I could very well be wrong but I didn't see any posters for the Social Code show and that did quite well anyways. That's all I can tell everyone right now but I'll be updating you all again probably on this post or via email.

...why don't you just pay off the venue costs with the money you make from the show, and pay out the bands with what's left over ;) - Tue, 29 Nov 2005 3:04am
muahaha
User Info...
why...because that would make WAYYY to much sense. instead of paying for the costs, and then takeing the money after, giving each band a small portion of money, and then pocketing a possible 200 dollars for themselves. it would make wayyy too much sense..... in the words of Pubert the wise "whack-whack-whackaaaaaa!".but since i dont live on the rock, and my bands not playing at the show, i shall say nothing more. - Tue, 29 Nov 2005 8:26am

well since their splitting the profit to all the bands, then its fine. if 100 people show up...then each band takes home 80$ so each band makes money. i think thats a good deal

Sometimes gotta spend money to make it;) - Tue, 29 Nov 2005 7:15pm

This is how the plan goes (IN NEW EASY TO READ INCOMPLETE SENTENCES!!):
-pay off $200 first, then split profits evenly

if everyone can still play, here's how the times would go down:

6:00 all bands show up, set up whatnot
7:00 blind eye
7:30 beautiful void
8:00 rock and roll circus
8:45 vendors
9:30 vinegaroon
10:15 hrp
11:00 take down everything

if anyone who's playing is reading this, is this alright? no problems? let me know - Thu, 1 Dec 2005 8:20pm

i think thats fine, but i have a suggestion. since there is 4 hours of playing time, thats 240 mins, devide that by 6 bands gives each band 40 mins each of actulal playing time. so that would give each band the same ammount of playin time. Its just a thought thou haa u dont gotta listen to me - Thu, 1 Dec 2005 8:33pm

that would be better for all the bands, but the other 3 minute band is more new and doesnt have enough material to fill 45 minutes. sorry i hope you dont mind too much playing only half an hour - Sun, 4 Dec 2005 7:23pm

okay...so let me get this straight...you want everyone else to front the money, someone else to be liable AND you have the gall to tell other people to shut the fuck up? I'm not trying to be an asshole, but everytime I come back to this thread it gets more and more ridiculous. For one, I'm NOT going to put myself on the line for YOUR show, especially if you're going to be a dick about it - I'm even apprehensive about giving you my 30 bucks. Why would I want to give money to a little twelve year old dink, especially having no reason to trust this kid and make sure that i'm going to get ANY cut of any profit? Here's a little tip for you: if you don't want to lose money, don't put on a show.

ok, I'm not trying to be an asshole either and I really don't want this to become a back and forth name calling thread. I wasn't referring "shut the fuck up"to any of the bands wanting to play because weren't really giving me any problems and if they did have one they could tell me with reasons and were atleast civilized about it. however when random people with nothing to do with this show need to express their divine opinions on everything i say, I get abit annoyed. - Sat, 10 Dec 2005 10:15am

Man everyone seems so strung up on this. Everyone just keeps flinging shit at Simon and thats not cool, none of the bands on the bill even thanked Simon, at least not on this thread, for doing what he has done sofar, my band included(thanks man). Most of us know how hard it can be trying to put together a show with a handful of other bands when your only 15 or 16 the last thing that should be happening is having members of the other bands that are playing at HIS show bitching at him cause then he'll never want to do this sort of thing again, right? Simon, if it falls through, bummer, no big deal there will be other shows and your still one of the best bass players around. I hope no one gets angry at this particular post as it was not my intention to piss any of you off, but how are we supposed to put together a good show when it looks like there's so much animosity between the bands. - Mon, 12 Dec 2005 4:53pm
