| Kris User Info... | that was the most ridiculous thing. we pissed the fifty fifty off numerous times with our unnecessary decorations and the hordes of people who showed up. i'm sorry to everyone who didn't get in but we sold out like right away. i didn't even think we advertised this show very well. oh well thank you to BA, the chicos, all the choir girls (caila, karmen, caitlyn), hussain, the pirates, the tree man, kate for narrating, obiwan kenobe/jesus christ, and the black girl who were in our huge musical production. and just to everyone for putting up with our overall crazy shit (mostly like the fifty fifty). everyone sounded great and we had soooo much fun. best cd release ever. we almost sold a hundred. i think like 90 or something. which is pretty good. we broke even for sure. love, love, love, kris - Sun, 23 Oct 2005 11:59am | ||

| darcy User Info... | Well, unlike most posts in this thread, I did manage to get in, aswell as grab me a copy of the CD. All the bands were so great, but, ofcourse, Vincat took the photosynthesized cake. I really like the new stuff. all today I was singing 'Uh Oh' and 'Aberdeen'. Hussain and BA were awesome. I missed all but two of Run Chico Run's songs cause I went out for a bit, but I'm sad I missed them. I loved the deco and everything. Great show!! Oh, and just because you advertise something on a radio show doesn't mean you are going to get into a venue that has less-than-large capacity by showing up a bit after doors open. - Sun, 23 Oct 2005 8:02pm | ||

I did not imply that it should mean that, merely that I felt I contributed to something that I could not be involved in. A sort of irony. Maybe it is not a good idea to advertise fifty fifty shows since typically more than enough people show up, in relation to the capacity. I understand that shows sponsered by the fifty fifty sometimes do not even appear on livevictoria, like the francois show. I didn't fully understand the reasoning until thinking how the fire marshall is being a jerk to every venue, how the new year's frog eyes show was sold out, and how the dead will rise show was wayy too packed. tickets are a good idea. woot, tickets. then people like peter gardner who busses an hour, and myself (I bus 45 minutes) to get downtown, would be fine. showing up early is a good idea too. woot, showing up early. I am glad that it was a successful night for people though! decorations and such, sounds incredible. did anyone manage to get pictures? - Sun, 23 Oct 2005 9:45pm | ||
