Events User Info... | HOUSE OF BLUES CONCERTS CANADA presents FEAR FACTORY With special guestS SOILWORK, STRAPPING YOUNG LAD AND DARKANE MONDAY, DECEMBER 5TH CROATIAN CULTURAL CENTRE VANCOUVER, BC DOORS 6:30 pm SHOW 7:00 pm ***ALL-AGES SHOW*** Fear Factory has been making waves in both the American death metal and industrial metal scene since their debut album, Soul of a New Machine (1992). The L.A.-based group's latest, Transgression, is another stepping-stone in the band's career. Mixing the group's experimental side with more straight-ahead rockers and even a couple of choice covers (Killing Joke's "Milliennium," U2's "I Will Follow"), the album features more emphasis on guitar and less on industrial touches. The blowtorch riffs, death grunts mixed with melodic singing and punishing drum work fans have come to love and expect from previous discs like Demanufacture (top 10 in Billboard's Heatseekers chart), Obsolete (top 100) and Digimortal (top 20 in Canada), are in full force. One of the few heavy metal bands consistently appreciated in the most polarizing and bitter of music genres, Fear Factory's mega-size industrial metal is the full-meal deal for fans of hard, heavy and merciless music. Following the highly acclaimed albums Natural Born Chaos (recorded under the supervision of Strapping Young Lad's Devin Townsend) and Figure Number Five, Soilwork returns with their latest effort, Stabbing The Drama. Another sizzling slab of molten melodic metalcore, this is the kind of music that threatens the very fabric of society. Extremely tight and dynamic with melodic elements at the exact right places are the trademarks of this work, where every note, shiver-inducing vocals, precise break and pummelling beat is perfectly timed. Decade-old vets of the Swedish death metal scene, Soilwork has toured with Children of Bodom, Hypocrisy, Killswitch Engage, Annihilator and Nevermore, and are a favourite on the summer open-air festival circuit. Don't miss this all ages show featuring Fear Factory live at Croatian Cultural Centre with special guests Soilwork, Strapping Young Lad and Darkane on Monday, December 5th. Tickets: $25.00 (INCL. GST) + s/c Tickets available at all Ticketmaster outlets Charge By Phone 604-280-4444 Order on-line at http://www.ticketmaster.ca or http://www.hob.ca Tickets also available at Scrape **ALL AGES SHOW** TICKETS ON SALE FRIDAY, OCTOBER 14TH @ 10:00 AM - Tue, 11 Oct 2005 11:18am | ||
