Wolves in the Throne Room cancelled, but the show went on anyways. A good turnout for a rainy thursday night; everyone seemed to be into all the bands. Bury What's Dead played a short set but they sounded great from where I was (watching the door.) Citadel played next, and it was their first show. Chaotic hardcore with some very good slow parts. The vocals stayed fucking brvtal the whole time, raspy screaming and some lows. Plus, they had blastbeats. Pretty much seals the deal with me. Mitochondrion also blast, and Shawn's vocals rip. Plus hearing the leads was nice, the guitar tone cut through the churning downtuned deathmetal brvtalness. Someone told me someone said they were the Darkthrone of deathmetal in terms of production and I totally like that description, although its only partially true. I hope I'm not talking out my ass assuming they downtune, but the effect noises out everything much like Darkthrone's finer moments. Ungoliant played next, I was playing drums, I have not comments. Thank you everyone for coming. - Fri, 7 Oct 2005 12:10am

was a good show.. the crowd was awesome. too bad that wolves could not make it, but the show was alot of fun nonetheless. sadly the sound basically sucked unless you were standing right in front of the bands. - Fri, 7 Oct 2005 12:28am

well all the bands were good except for citadel they were ok but they were out of timing on the fast parts and the vocals need some lyrics not just random yelling. in my personal oppion mito and the last band were the shit. overal it was a good show. - Fri, 7 Oct 2005 9:02am

Overall a great show. Each band did an awesome job and yeah Ungoliant blew me away... the music is so dark and impressive riffs and vocals. Can't get enough... look forward to the next show hopefully that'll be in the near future. - Fri, 7 Oct 2005 2:06pm

Couldn't make it. I can only hope the Ungoliant drummer made a cross out of his sticks before each song.
Plans for anything upcoming? - Fri, 7 Oct 2005 4:57pm

I had a blast playing this show, i thought the sound was way better than the last time i was there watching. i was late to come in for the last two bands and was mid crowd both times and could hear volcals way better than ANY all ager i've been to in the last year, with a sweet mix of the rest of each band. two thumbs up tegan who had the balls to defy the naysayers and move the setup...ha! it was nice to play live again and look forward to way more shows to come, Citadel were next..and I wasn't wrong in my pre-formed judgement these boys would kick some ass...for a first show, they didn't look it. great drum rythms and some sweet sweet builds and slow parts, guitar could have been louder. can't wait to see these dudes again. next up Ungoliant...I know i've said this before, and i'll say it again..i can't get over how i used to watch most of this band truck in and out of the burnside basement each week, endlessly practicing and fucking around, learing new instruments..now they have formed into this amazing blend of styles, driven by an assulting array of drums, shredding baselines that are wicked fast, and searing guitars that stop just before the line of cheese, but still waaayy on the cool side and heavy as all fuck. i think tegans vocals sounded honestly like i picture the goblin on the label of HobGoblin beer to sound while singing...but im sure it was just the PA, Margo's got the cargo bye..her vocals were crushing and somewhat full of emotion...so sweet..also good to see some people i haven't seen in a while like slick nIckSkra. great turn out for a thursday night... - Fri, 7 Oct 2005 9:06pm
