HOUSE OF BLUES CONCERTS CANADA presents

BAD RELIGION

WITH SPECIAL GUESTS ANTI-FLAG

WEDNESDAY, NOVEMBER 2ND

COMMODORE BALLROOM

VANCOUVER, BC
****EARLY SHOW*****

DOORS 7:00 pm SHOW 8:00 pm

If ever there was a time for Bad Religion, it's now. One of the most politically astute punk rock bands ever, the L.A.-based group is one of the few survivors of America's second wave of punk to carry over to the Warped generation, and remains as vicious, biting and pointed as ever. To say the Bush Administration has given new fury to the sextet is to understate the sense of social justice that motivates the group. Its 2004 album The Empire Strikes First is a jagged, relent-less commentary on religion and politics circa the Iraq invasion, and shows Bad Religion has lost none of its informed vitriol. With songs like the majestic "Let Them Eat War" as good as anything released by any punk rock band in the last decade, the album is yet another triumph from a group with the rare ability to combine classic-sounding melodies with political commentary. And now, with recent political developments in the U.S. and overseas, the band's upcoming tour is guaranteed to showcase performances as explosive as any Bad Religion has given.

Anti-Flag has been promoting old-school punk ethics since forming in 1988 in Pittsburgh, PA. With classics like 1997's Die for the Government establishing the band's credentials with breakneck tempos, singalong choruses and an obnoxious sense of humour, Anti-Flag has become one of the most respected bands in punk and a more than worthy opening act for Bad Religion.

Don't miss this great show featuring Bad Religion with very special guests Anti-Flag Wednesday November 2nd at The Commodore Ballroom.
