Haha... okay. I feel better now.

I was looking at those pictures at the end, going "that's the Fine Options"... why would they change their name? Why would they choose a name that was already taken??

Looks like I missed a great show, again. :/

the show was wicked... i really enjoyed all the sets. YYBB really impressive, liked the feel of the music, they were missing a guitarist so I would have liked to hear their stuff in original form, but all in all very good. cipher was very much on top of their game last night, that was the loudest bass drum on the planet!!! i must say i have a profound respect for kincaide as of now. last night they fuct shit up real good! the pit was raging throughout their entire set, vivid performance, intense music. and the headliners. the doers. man these guys brought it to the table. i had never even heard of them until last night. i must have been under a stone for a while. anyways these guys were amazing, the vocalists were great, each one bringing a different tone to their tunes. all the musicians last night were amazing. the sound was extraordinary. thank you to hybrid productions! - Sun, 6 Mar 2005 12:58pm

That show was cool. I really like the atmosphere of the Multicultural Center, I wish shows would be held there more often. Not many all ages venues with a stage and lighting like that. Attendance was good, the few other times I've been to shows there they weren't very well attended so the promoters must've been doing something right (perhaps plastering the city with hundreds of orange posters?)

Yum Yum Bang Bang - They were sort of strange. The vocalist's voice was definitely unique and the lyrics were...different. "Little mice, their throats I want to slice". Pretty rad band.

Cipher - Were alright, they reminded me of Puddle Of Mudd. Very energetic, the vocalist totally got into it and involved the crowd a lot. Loud bass drum indeed.

Kincaide - The addition of keys really works well. Great stage presence, excellent musicianship, totally solid and professional sound. Good luck on your upcoming tour!

The Fine Options - Awesome vocal action and some catchy guitar and key hooks. Lots of nice drum fills too. I'd like to see them play again.

Photos to come. - Sun, 6 Mar 2005 3:54pm

Thanks to derek and adam. Next time I see you guys I'll give you a hug for the sound and road work, then I'll punch you in the balls for drawing all over my face when I was passed out. Fuckers!

Also, I know there were a two people who were trying to track me down for autographs. I'm sorry you couldn't find me. Send me an email and I'll see what I can do. - Sun, 6 Mar 2005 7:37pm

Yum Yum Bang Bang are local, this was their first or second show. I'm not sure what genre I'd put them in but they used a drum machine. Their vocalist's voice is very high-pitched and their songs were about sugar daddies and killing mice. They're kind of dancey/disco/poppish with a bit of something strange in there. 'Puffcore' does seem fitting.

They're definitely worth seeing in my opinion. - Mon, 7 Mar 2005 10:20am

Kudos to Matteus for putting on such an awesome show. I had a blast... can't wait for the next one!

YumYum BangBang: wasn't sure what to expect, but was pleasantly surprised. Although they were more fun and quirky than what I expected, they were a good fit for the night.

Cipher: What can I say, I was totally blown away. The singer (Ian) has such great stage presence. They have some very solid songs and great dynamics. It's only a matter of time for these guys.

Kincaide: Talent... sheer talent. Hey Chris was that Makeup or did someone punch you in the face?!? J/K... Great Show guys

The Fine Options: Totally glad that I stuck around to see these guys. I loved their vocals and their professionalism. It's hard to believe that their bass player was singing with strep throat. crazy!

Thanks to Hybrid Productions for putting on a great show, and like I said, I can't wait for the next one!

Did I hear someone mention it will be April 2nd? - Fri, 11 Mar 2005 7:43pm
