The term gets thrown around so much it doesn't mean anything anymore, like calling a cop or a business student a "fascist" - usually they aren't a blackshirted goosestepping bookburner, but people call them that anyways regardless of applicability. | Natalie User Info... | I wouldnt really say emo is "pop". I consider britney spears and the rest of that shit to be pop. It has very definite charachteristics and a few bands that adhere to them like nothing else. I think it pretty much appeals to angsty pre teens. Now theres all these BS kinds of emo, screamo for example. Who the hell thought up that term? At any rate, i hear my 14 year old sister calling anyone who shows emotion a "fucking emo", so i guess its sort of in style (though the music itself makes me gag it must have some sort of appeal) -to the younger ones anyway. - Wed, 29 Sep 2004 5:55pm | ||
