I'm confused. You are anti-anachro protesting scum, or anti-bad apple cop?

*edit*

I've deciphered your rant. Yes, Black Bloc / Antifa and the like are nothing more than welfare collecting trouble makers with a vague agenda. Just ask Iskra. - Sat, 26 Jun 2010 10:14pm Edited: Sat, 26 Jun 2010 10:26pm

"I've deciphered your rant"

Weak minds have trouble with my posts,I forgive you.

You have no clue, as to what is reality,do you ?

"Antifa",...fags...Can't even do a activist action right.
This is Canada,and a good thing too, no one died.

I still don't get the point of all the looting and violence.
Show the world what you think,and how you feel about change and effecting change .By moving backwards, with destruction.
Good on you Canada,we are just like all the others....scared ,and can't do a damn thing about it.

Sometimes I am sick to be Canadian.

But still have the best hope in the world for us being the tolerant ones ,and the peace keepers of this planet. - Sun, 27 Jun 2010 12:15am Edited: Sun, 27 Jun 2010 12:18am

Who cares anyway? Why even peacefully protest? You think any of the world leaders care what these idiots’ signs say? Good luck with that! Just live your life, raise your kids right, relax and enjoy the world we live in while your alive. Be thankful you live in Canada, it’s beautiful here, go to the lake and forget about all of it! That’s what I do and my life is very fulfilling I don’t vote, I don’t watch the news, I pay no attention to politics whatsoever, once u stop caring about money and politics your life takes on a whole new meaning. I work I pay my bills and enjoy whatever money I have left for fun! That’s all I need! Live Laugh Love right? - Mon, 28 Jun 2010 1:12pm

you know. I'm hearing some freaky shit at biblical proportions.
this bp thing could seriously be the end of the world as we know it.

Have you all heard about the toxic gases, the fissures leaking
the potential for an undersea Calderon that will cause tsunami that will roll clear over Florida.
The toxic oil/dispersant rain on its way.
Screwing up the warm currents, and rainfall patterns
Possible even causing a mini ice age in Europe.
Crop production could be reduced by 20%.

Thats why the legitimate protesters protest the powers that are killing our planet, and enslaving our people.
Those Black Anarchists just give the whole movement a bad rep, and gives the cops the freedom to shut it all down.

Scary times my children.

Well thats great, thanks to people with THAT exact attitude crooks like Gordon Campbell can easily win power and raise your taxes at will (HST)

Remember this next time you 'dont vote' -- Rich people, millionaires and the like.. THEY VOTE. And not in YOUR interests either. Had all you 'I dont vote' types gone in and voted against Campbell we might not have had to deal with his non stop 'rape the poor and the sick dry' BS for the past 2 terms. - Mon, 5 Jul 2010 7:09pm

It was also the largest mass arrest in Canadian history - over 900 people were arrested. The majority of those arrested were released without charge. That's the key part, "released without charge." Compare that to the FLQ Crisis, where 438 people were arrested.

To me, that sounds like a clear violation of our Charter Rights. I am specifically referring to these rights:

"SEARCH OR SEIZURE.

8. Everyone has the right to be secure against unreasonable search or seizure.

DETENTION OR IMPRISONMENT.

9. Everyone has the right not to be arbitrarily detained or imprisoned.

ARREST OR DETENTION.

10. Everyone has the right on arrest or detention

(a) to be informed promptly of the reasons therefor;
(b) to retain and instruct counsel without delay and to be informed of that right; and
(c) to have the validity of the detention determined by way of habeas corpus and to be released if the detention is not lawful."

My friend was down at the protests. He said it was crazy how 100 or so anarchists could run around downtown smashing shit for 90 minutes, while a 1.2 Billion dollar security budget was ordered to "stand down." Here's a link to an interesting article on that subject:

http://www.torontosun.com/news/columnists/joe_warmington/2010/06/30/14564416.html

From the aforementioned article:

"The officer said that eventually there was "a clear order from the command centre saying 'Do not engage' " and, at that point, smelling weakness and no repercussions, the downtown was effectively turned over to the vandals while police, up to 19,000 strong, were ordered to stay out of it." - Mon, 5 Jul 2010 7:11pm

Might as well add these too:

FUNDAMENTAL FREEDOMS.

2. Everyone has the following fundamental freedoms:

(a) freedom of conscience and religion;
(b) freedom of thought, belief, opinion and expression, including freedom of the press and other media of communication;
(c) freedom of peaceful assembly; and
(d) freedom of association. - Mon, 5 Jul 2010 8:10pm

The whole incident was bad.
They need to have this on a Caribbean Island from now on.

Grim, it is my understanding that these legitimate protesters are protesting on behalf of the countries that are being subjugated to crazy new trade rules, tax free zones, etc.
I hear that it is illegal to have chickens in Jamaica because the trade agreement states they have to order all the left over dark meat that the North Americans don't want.

Everything from manipulating what seed is available, to blowing up oil rigs to raise the price of oil.
These suits cant be trusted.
Most people here dont care as long as they have gasoline, chicken fingers, ten cent wings, cheap beer.
Basically these suits are doing all our dirty work and keeping the West on top. - Tue, 6 Jul 2010 10:45pm
