That's the key part, "released without charge." Compare that to the FLQ Crisis, where 438 people were arrested. To me, that sounds like a clear violation of our Charter Rights. Everyone has the right not to be arbitrarily detained or imprisoned. ARREST OR DETENTION. 10. Everyone has the right on arrest or detention (a) to be informed promptly of the reasons therefor; (b) to retain and instruct counsel without delay and to be informed of that right; and (c) to have the validity of the detention determined by way of habeas corpus and to be released if the detention is not lawful." My friend was down at the protests. He said it was crazy how 100 or so anarchists could run around downtown smashing shit for 90 minutes, while a 1.2 Billion dollar security budget was ordered to "stand down." Everything from manipulating what seed is available, to blowing up oil rigs to raise the price of oil. These suits cant be trusted.
