So Sharon and Ozzy have re-recorded the drums and bass tracks on the 1st two "Blizzard Of Oz" albums with new musicians so they can get away without paying Bob Daisley or Lee Kerslake (original bassist and drummer)any royallties.
Kinda like drawing a moustache on the Mona Lisa. Nice work, lost a lot of respect for the Ozzman. - Mon, 31 May 2004 11:53am

Crazy - reminds me of our good friend Yoko firing Cheap Trick as the back-up band for "Double Fantasy" because she felt they were "upstaging" proceedings. Oh well - at least it was cool that a friend of mine used to have a photo of the "D.F." album on their fridge, with Mark David Chapman's face scotch-taped over John's, moving in for the big kiss on Y.O.....And what about Tony substituting a "certain guitarist" on "By Myself" for Tim from O.T.T.G.? It's all about the rock stardom, I guess. - Mon, 31 May 2004 2:22pm

To be fair to Ozzy, he hasn't been aware of his surroundings since 1982 at the latest..... - Mon, 31 May 2004 6:22pm

it's kind of depressing how his family outright rapes his funds while he can hardly dress himself . . . poor Ozzy. - Tue, 1 Jun 2004 2:20am

She has been his manger/business partner for YEARS. Just read up on some old Ozzy, you will see S.Osbourne listed as manager. - Tue, 1 Jun 2004 5:02am

Yeah, old news. They did that with Bark at the Moon, and I dunno about you guys, but the reissue sounds like shit compared to when it first came out (I owned it on vinyl). I always thought that Ozzy was doing a lot better in the last few years after they dropped that doctor that kept feeding Ozzy all that unnecessary medication and leeching him for tons of money. - Tue, 1 Jun 2004 7:10am

This reminds me of how Bill Ward (the original Sabbath drummer and ONLY dude for the job) recently had to negotiate with that cunt Sharon Osbourne so he could play with HIS band at this year's Ozzfest. And if I'm not mistaken, she has been indirectly responsible for booking all the gay, nu metal shit that has infested Ozzfest over the last few years.Interestingly enough, way back when, her own father tried to devise a scheme in which he was going to have her "offed". Too bad. - Wed, 2 Jun 2004 3:48am

Correct me if I'm wrong, and I probably am, but I heard that all it takes to play Ozzfest is enough money to buy your time slot. I think it was like $15,000, meybe more, can't remember. That was Ozzfest 2002. That's how Drowning Pool and Mudvayne got in. - Wed, 2 Jun 2004 7:04pm

C'mon guys, Ozzy hasn't been cool since Sabbath. Bark at The Moon? I don't know how it passed back then and it sure as hell doesn't pass now... his TV show confirmed what I hope many of at least suspected. Robots have made his music since '82. Belive it. - Fri, 4 Jun 2004 4:08pm

I agree One After Two... Ozzy had pretty much lost it as a 'creative force' when "Bark at the Moon" came out.... Oh well, Ozzfest '99 was pretty cool.... - Sat, 5 Jun 2004 8:41am

I would call him a great rock guitarist, sure. If he had lived on, I'd bet he would have had a boffo career. Some dissed him as an Eddie clone, but I think there was a lot going on. Apparently, on tour, he'd seek out classical workshops whenever he got the chance. He was also like Maa-gellan, he was soooo gellin'. (sorry) - Tue, 8 Jun 2004 2:12pm
