We're just spreading the good news of yet another confirmation for this year's VICTORIA'S 5TH ANNIVERSARY SKA FESTIVAL for the free show at Centennial Square on Friday, July 16th (afternoon performance). Please welcome UPRITE DUB ORCHESTRA. UPRITE DUB ORCHESTRA are on Invisible Mass Records (same record label run by the Poland Brothers from the band Warsaw). Check out more about the band below: Hailing forward the Dub Reggae and Rudeboy styles comes Uprite dub Orchestra from Portland, Oregon. Purveyors of finely crafted downtempo beats and high-energy party music since 2001, Uprite dub�s continued mission is to bring Reggae, Ska, Hip-hop and Jazz/Rock music into the future. Uprite dub is a band inspired by the rockers/dub era of Jamaican Reggae, first and second wave Ska, modern Dub, and the relationships between Hip-hop and Dancehall. Some people have likened Uprite dub to Fishbone, the Specials, or Beastie Boys, but it was Augustus Pablo, King Tubby, and Lee �Scratch� Perry that influenced the creation of Uprite dub Orchestra. Uprite always delivers an outstanding performance. Apocalyptic horns lure patrons to the dance floor as snare-hits and guitar skanks echo through the dubmaster�s soundboard off the walls and the bass drops bombs down unsuspecting ear holes.
