The Mayans had built two temples.. once per year the sun reaches a perfect apex between the temples at which point a living victim would have their heart cut out with an obsidian blade.. in the chest cavity a fire would be kindled.. from the coals of that fire a torch would be lit.. that torch would then light every hearth in the city (or fire created from that torch, ie; the neighbours etc ) I was going to name the song The 5th Creation because 2012 is when the Mayans believe we end the 5th sun or creation of time.. mankinds time, which will come to end end just as other periods of time have ended on earth (ie: pre life, protozoac era's, dinosaurs, etc ) ok so there's a legit musical interlude for the haters.
