canon.docre User Info... | Its official, the Bayanihan Community Center at 1709 Blanshard Street has been confirmed as the venue for an all-ages metal/grind/hardcore showdown: Poser Disposer - fast-as-fuck grindcore on tour from Saskatoon, Sask. Not to be missed, they absolutely desroyed last time they came to town. http://www.myspace.com/poserdisposer Hierophant - local heros of the blast and breakdown, but mostly the blast. A return after being on hiatus for too fucking long. http://www.myspace.com/hierophant666 Mudlark - schizophrenic sludge/grind hybrid from Vancouver. On tour with Poser Disposer. http://www.myspace.com/mudlark Archon Legion - a fist-pumping metal adventure of vengeance and conquest. http://www.myspace.com/archonlegion Compound Terror - local deahtgrind controller-throwers http://www.myspace.com/compoundterror $6 Bands start at 7pm sharp (our shows start on time, seriously, so the out of towners get to play full sets). Show will end at 11pm so plan for that. No beer drinking or jackassery on the premesis, or even within view of the premsis. Use your head! - Sun, 18 Jan 2009 7:36pm Edited: Sun, 18 Jan 2009 7:44pm
tyler User Info... | i dont know if you have or are doing a poster but! the forced opinion chronic grinder crew will make a poster and waste the fuck out of this city...cause we have nothing better to do. UGHHHH - Sun, 18 Jan 2009 7:55pm
canon.docre User Info... | Killer man, Grant and myself are teamed up to do this show because I'm heading out of town the week before the show, so we need as much help getting the word out about this as possible. Careful, the last time I postered for a show I got a warning from bylaw. Hopefully we don't end up with some ridiculous fine. - Sun, 18 Jan 2009 8:58pm
Bryan User Info... | Sucks that this and Jerk Ward are on the same night... now I have to try to go to both. Oh the hardship. - Mon, 19 Jan 2009 11:11am
canon.docre User Info... | It DOES suck these are on the same night, but touring bands don't really have the flexibility to plan around other shows. - Mon, 19 Jan 2009 1:36pm
tyler User Info... | straight up....better poster. - Tue, 20 Jan 2009 1:07am
Jason Flower User Info... | it would have made alot more sense to just ask to have Poser Disposer on the same bill rather than have both gigs spoilt by dividing up what is a small crowd to begin with. - Tue, 20 Jan 2009 8:16am Edited: Tue, 20 Jan 2009 8:52am
moron User Info... | Different crowds. One show is more of a metal event, the other's punk. Canon.docre also posted on here a month or so ago trying to get someone to do a show for poser disposer and no one took it (to my knowledge). Cheers - Tue, 20 Jan 2009 7:05pm
LETSGETRAD! User Info... | yeah this Disposer show has been in the works for sometime now - Tue, 20 Jan 2009 7:53pm
canon.docre User Info... | Hey Jason, I didn't really see you having room on the Jerk Ward bill for 2 touring bands with full sets. If you reaaaaaaaaaaally want to give mudlark and poser disposer the two slots before jerk ward that night, I agree, that would be a good idea. - Wed, 21 Jan 2009 8:42am
Jason Flower User Info... | wow, ok thank you firstly to Ron for pointing out that these scenes may be different enough - i really don't know as i rarely get out to gigs these days. i truly hope u r right! as for the possibility of combining the 2 shows, it may be too late now but i'm going to give it some serious thought on how it could be done. i'll email you now. - Wed, 21 Jan 2009 12:55pm
jeff User Info... | uuuhhhh its just a bad idea,.....everyones goin go the the jerk ward show....the smart people that is - Wed, 21 Jan 2009 3:42pm
ROSS B AY User Info... | Yup. - Wed, 21 Jan 2009 4:14pm
canon.docre User Info... | Ross Bay I never see you at these shows anyways. We're attempting to combine the shows, if you guys must know. - Wed, 21 Jan 2009 6:28pm
LETSGETRAD! User Info... | as much as i wanna see jerk ward id much rather see hierophant+terror+legion in on one bill but thats just me. - Wed, 21 Jan 2009 6:56pm
jeff User Info... | like i said...all the smart people will go the jerk ward show - Thu, 22 Jan 2009 1:27am
Jason Flower User Info... | Victoria's all ages demographic is small; two similar 'underground' shows on one night could mean small crowds at both, or one show suffering. Scott (canon.docre) and I are negotiating, but it's complicated and I don't know what the outcome will be quite yet. I must remind all fans of local music the incredible historical and cultural relevance of the Jerk Ward shows. We're doing this for all the kids that couldn't get into the AYECH release party. Do not expect a wave of more JW shows; this is it. - Thu, 22 Jan 2009 10:10am Edited: Thu, 22 Jan 2009 10:11am
tyler User Info... | jerk ward poser disposer jerk ward mudlark hierophant easy as that, cobras and ak will understand - Thu, 22 Jan 2009 11:15am
Jason Flower User Info... | i'm not taking AK-47 off this bill. if the shows were combined, it'd only be Mudlark and PD...but there's nothing easy about this at all. these shows are NOT combined yet. - Thu, 22 Jan 2009 11:24am
Tambo User Info... | I'd much rather go to a metal show than a punk show, as much as I love AK47, I'd still rather see the rest of the lineup of the poser disposer show more. I really think the people who are undecided on which show to go to are in the minority. - Thu, 22 Jan 2009 11:36am
tyler User Info... | alllllrighty - Thu, 22 Jan 2009 11:44am
Jason Flower User Info... | apples and oranges guys; its all fast as hell and frankly Archon Legion are the only metal band. i see this thread going further and further from whats at hand. - Thu, 22 Jan 2009 12:14pm
moron User Info... | I gather you don't actually go to all ages shows any more J? Mudlark (sludge / doom), Archon Legion (melodic / nu + Maiden worship) and Compound Terror (grind mostly) are all pretty much in the metal camp. Jerk Ward may have historical relevance but I doubt many folks under 30 know of them or care about that. . .shit, I've been in this town since the mid 80s and only heard them a few times on CFUV. This is really a case of AK47 versus a primarily metal gig. Lots of the folks that would go see AK47 I have never seen at *any* of the local metal gigs. Your knickers need de-knotting me thinks. =) Cheers - Thu, 22 Jan 2009 1:35pm
Bryan User Info... | I'm under 30 and care about seeing Jerk Ward... - Thu, 22 Jan 2009 1:43pm
Dave User Info... | I think the show should be JW AK PD ML I like cobras but I dont see their relevance to the show. Regardless I'll try and make it to one of the Jerkward shows. - Thu, 22 Jan 2009 7:11pm
tyler User Info... | i think its alot easier than your making it out to be and yeha jw ak pd ml party - Thu, 22 Jan 2009 7:24pm
ROSS B AY User Info... | I caught the Nailbomb referance. - Thu, 22 Jan 2009 8:36pm
Jason Flower User Info... | we're gonna keep the shows separate, as they were. some roster changes as well. - Thu, 22 Jan 2009 8:41pm
LETSGETRAD! User Info... | start one show earlier start one show later - Thu, 22 Jan 2009 11:06pm
ricky jak User Info... | wow.... do you people know how lucky you are to have a choice... years ago there wasn't this much music beeing created and to have two alternative like shows on one night was unheard of. Go see the music you love. feel the power. in regards to only smart people going to the Jerk Ward show.... NOT TRUE! look at me.... I'm going to the Jerk Ward show. I would much rather be cozy in my bed watching Treehouse on the TV! one of the best shows I ever saw years ago was STREETS at logans.... there was only maybe 10 people in the audience and that band went OFF! have a good time wherever you go. - Fri, 23 Jan 2009 5:37am
LETSGETRAD! User Info... | sidenote STREETS are the greatest band to ever come out of BC i went to Tacoma this year to see their reunion show and it was insanity - Fri, 23 Jan 2009 12:16pm

Grant T. User Info... | The night should go something like this. 7:15 Compound Terror 7:55 Archon Legion 8:45 Mudlark 9:20 Poser Disposer 10:15 Hierophant Again, absolutely no drinking in or around the venue. We don't want this to be the last show at Camas because you couldn't walk a block away. Cheers, and see you tonight. - Sat, 7 Feb 2009 9:01am
Sati User Info... | I saw poser disposer last night with haggatha, mudlark & mass grave. mass grave were unbelievable and may be my new favorites. I guess no one going to this is going to miss pd, but I'd recommend you try to at least catch some of mudlark, they were killer. have a great time tonight you guys! * oh, oops, I read the lineup backwards, which makes my post make less sense. Oh well... enjoy whatever you get to see. - Sat, 7 Feb 2009 11:06am Edited: Sat, 7 Feb 2009 11:12am
