 _Griphin_ _Griphin_ Messages Posted: The scene is dead, too bad. | Review: The Resistance -=- Irresistable/Raw Deal Split CD --- Irresistable ========= When this first came out on tape, I couldn't stop listening to it. I always thought, what a great punk band, but never did get a chance to see the band live. Recently, I once again acquired the CD (thanks to Gary Brainless) and it still rocks. Very fun (drunk) tunes, and I still remember all the lyrics even years after I originally heard the songs. The recording could be a bit improved, but I can only imagine how it was recorded. My favorite tracks: Hijacked, Bad Guys, Future and Battlezone (how true back when this came out), but the whole CD is worth a listen. Raw Deal ======== I dunno if this album came out before or after Irresistable, but it sounds more professional so perhaps it came out later. A lot of the tracks are slower then Irresistable, but this is not to say the whole album is slow. It's really hard to describe this album, but I do know two of the tracks appeared on the "Newlywed/Nearlydead" compilation (MT 001). All in all, a fun album. Since this CD is actually out of print, you can still get it thru Gary @ The Rats Nest, and it's worth checking out. Nuff said. - Sun, 22 Jun 2003 11:36pm | ||
