Cus my buddy Zalgore hates bringin dessert to places. I'm sure he'd have no problem bringing a salad however. Bloodied Mule User Info... | Tickets can be reserved at [email protected] and they will be on sale at Cutting Edge Sports in Port Alberni and at the gate. There'll be a ticket for everyone because we can always just expand the venue! Viking Helmets are a good thing, half shirts are also a real hit! especially with spandex. - Wed, 16 May 2007 11:38am
TimT User Info... | The line-up is finalized. Devin T. said he is just too busy but he sends his regards. Regards are fun I guess. This Very Day, a band from Torque Records is the last band to join the already stellar line-up. This is going to be blastofftastical! tics are $20/day or $30 for the weekend. I am talking to Farmer Bill this week to see what he needs for camp spots and how many are available. Metal! - Mon, 28 May 2007 12:53pm Edited: Mon, 28 May 2007 12:56pm

tyler User Info... | sorry yall but this is kind of lame the fucking dastardlies?not to diss them like there good and all but bc has WAY better punk out there this dosent seem to metal - Mon, 28 May 2007 6:46pm
TimT User Info... | No the Dastardlies don't seem too metal because they are punk. Good insight! - Tue, 29 May 2007 5:05pm
Sati User Info... | EXCUSE me, little man, but what exactly is lame about Horde of Anachron and Gross Misconduct? Have you SEEN either of those bands? I know we're all led to bellieve that its all cool to dis local talent on the internet, but let me tell you, its really pretty pathetic - especially when it just doesn't make sense! - Tue, 29 May 2007 7:10pm Edited: Tue, 29 May 2007 7:11pm
jeff User Info... | hahahahahahahaha Hoa and GM are pretty chill but my broken hero and the dastardlies make me wanna puke - Tue, 29 May 2007 11:46pm
TimT User Info... | my broken hero brings kids out to the show in this small townskies so they can be as awesome as they are. This show is going to be unreal heavy with the rest of the bands listed. And most peeps on the Island haven't yet heard Nemesis and The Butchers Hand. I will pee alongside the older folks who pee whenever there is a loud noise! Bring your tent. - Wed, 30 May 2007 8:04am
MarcyJean User Info... | local bands bring local kids. we need to introduce those emo kids to metal somehow...how else are they gonna know in port alberni??!?!?? my broken hero is not my kind of music, but if those kids like it, they will come out. what harm is done when 2 out of 14 bands isn't metal? plug your ears or something. haha. - Wed, 30 May 2007 8:28am
jeff User Info... | fuck that - Wed, 30 May 2007 12:13pm
TimT User Info... | my balls are dipped in a jar of mayonnaise right now. does anyone else do this to cool down the boys after a long day? - Wed, 30 May 2007 12:34pm
Sati User Info... | She's right, thats the only way to make it work. Being idealistic waiting for hordes of metal fans to suddenly appear & carry the scene - it just isn't going to happen. How many serious metalheads do you know? Serious enough to _consistently_ support local metal. Whatever # it is, its not enough. Its like the saying, it takes a village... I don't know the rest of the saying, but you get the point! Its the only way to make metal (or anything!) work in Vancouver. If punks weren't forced into checking out metal once in a while, our scene would be pretty dead. The other metal fest includes punk in their lineups too. We all have to make concessions. Like hanging out with people who aren't like us once in a while. :) And sorry man, I actually like when people speak their mind on here, but that includes me, haha.... - Wed, 30 May 2007 12:43pm
TimT User Info... | I love mind speaking too. When a band get up there that I'm not into at a festival I find it is a great opportunity to mosey over and grab a brew. Then I am not having that alzheimers feeling that I am missing something. I will take this opportunity to thank Lighthouse Brewery for their support of local metal! - Wed, 30 May 2007 12:47pm
jeff User Info... | well they could get better punk bands...theres to many to list - Wed, 30 May 2007 11:58pm
Bryan User Info... | Although I don't really care either way, I just wanted to point out that I'm pretty doubtful as to whether the metal scene in BC is so lacking that we need to throw random punk bands into what's billed as a "metal festival" just to drag in a few more non-metal fans... just look at the percentage of metalhead posters on this board, or at all the people who turn out to metal shows here in Victoria (and I'm sure the same can be said of Vancouver)... if you really, really need to throw punk bands on in order to survive then just call it a punk and metal festival. And yeah, I also agree that you could have probably found a punk band closer to the spirit of a metal festival than My Broken Hero or The Dastardlies, but whatever. It's your festival, I hope it goes well. - Thu, 31 May 2007 12:47pm
MarcyJean User Info... | it's not so the metal scene can surivie i don't think. my broken hero lives in port alberni, so they can play. there aren't any other "punkish" bands here and let the locals play i suppose. believe it or not they have a huge fan base here, so if they play those people will come. we want shitloads of people out there!! and the dasterdlies, well i don't know. it is a metal show and it's going to be rippen.....!! - Fri, 1 Jun 2007 11:51am
maniac User Info... | the poster looks wicked. It's gonna be a great couple of days! Keeps your eyes peeled for posters and more info! - Tue, 5 Jun 2007 11:58am
TimT User Info... | There will be a warm up show at Cutting Edge Sports June 23rd with Tribune, Something Wicked Awaits and Dexedrin. It is free and there will be hot dogs and bikini's. - Tue, 5 Jun 2007 3:23pm
Platoon User Info... | Pretty cool show you got going on here. Pretty cool venue as well. I just wish there were more Death, Gore, Satanic, Death, or Black Metal bands. - Thu, 7 Jun 2007 1:40am
TimT Tim Thiessen Messages Posted: Doing shows at random intervals in a town that is hard to look at. | I'll take note and remember for next time. Maybe this year to appease the black masses we can spread some love around in the form of blood from one of Farmer Bill's cows. Metal! - Thu, 7 Jun 2007 1:39pm

TimT User Info... | I talked to Farmer Bill today and he said he just wants $20 for the weekend for a person to camp. Just throw up a tent! - Tue, 12 Jun 2007 6:14pm Edited: Tue, 12 Jun 2007 6:14pm
TimT User Info... | Stitched in Silence has been added to the band list. Desensitized has a splayed open hand so sadly they won't be there. Plus I Veeted my balls and it didn't hurt at all. Very Smooth. - Fri, 29 Jun 2007 2:34pm
TimT User Info... | My Broken Hero has left the bill... The Line-up Friday Boost to 12K Adeeme This Very Day Nemesis The Butchers Hand Stitched in Silence Saturday The Dastardlies Quick Said the Bird Lost in the Revolution Dexedrin Tribune Entropia Gross Misconduct Mendozza A Textbook Tragedy Tickets are available at the gate for $30 for the weekend, an additional $10 per person to camp for the weekend.
