Yes it's true. A joke(?) band based on 90's death metal has arisen and taken the name Cannabis Corpse. Instead of being obsessed with gore, the lyrics are apparently about the "pot". This band features a member or two of Municipal Waste, so you know there's going to be quality in this. The style is very similar to old Chris Barnes era Cannibal Corpse, but with hints of older Morbid Angel and other such classic death metal. The song titles are pretty light-hearted with "Staring Through my Eyes That are Red" or "I Cum Bud". I find a lot of modern death metal trying to be something it isn't: heavy. This EP totally reminds me why I even started listening to the genre in the first place.
