Pretty simple for this one.
If you are already into Devin's solo stuff, this is a must have.
If you blindly dislike all Devin does, this won't change your mind.
If you are curious about Devin's material, grab this, Ocean Machine and Terria...followed by the rest of them.
Stand out tracks, for me include Pixillate, Triumph {guest solo by Steve Vai}, A Simple Lullaby, Judgement, Gaia and Vampira. The whole thing just slays, though!
If DTB makes it to Victoria in April, do not miss the show. They ruled at the CD Release party in Van. And if you don't like the stuff, I bet Aaron Clark's money that if you see it live, you'll change your mind at least partially.

New Devin Townsend CD? I should look out for that. One thing I fergot to mention to Jed the last time I saw him, SYL is a great band, but it's like Devin confuses the listener by overdubbing too much at once. This is the only explanation why I'm not a big phan of SYL or Devin Townsends solo work. - Fri, 10 Mar 2006 2:08am Edited: Fri, 10 Mar 2006 2:10am

One can only be confused if they don't allow all the information into their mind.
I love all the layers of hidden sounds that you can keep discovering with each new listen. When it concerns overdubbing and layering, Dev is the king. - Fri, 10 Mar 2006 3:44pm

If you can, I'd recommend getting it today. No point in putting off the sonic ecstasy. - Fri, 10 Mar 2006 5:10pm

So that's why people like listening to SYL/Devin Townsend. I dunno, more simplier a sound is, the easier the brain can process it thereby we tend to like it more, my guess anyways. - Sat, 11 Mar 2006 1:11am Edited: Sat, 11 Mar 2006 1:13am
